CHAPTER 2 REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE FOREIGN LITERATURE In the unpublished thesis of Henry Lieberman End of user Development (2006) it is mentioned that. The natural programming project is studying ways to make learning to program significantly easier, so that more people will be able to create useful, interesting and sophisticated programs. The goals of this project are to define and use a new programming language design process; where we study how non-programmers reason about programming concepts, create new programming languages and environments that take advantage of these findings, and evaluate them. In the unpublished thesis of Kemeny and Kurtz (1999) mentioned that. VB6 was once the most popular programming environment in the entire history of the world! But even if its not as great as it was, its still a great place to start learning about programming if you have the software! (If you dont, its hard to find. Microsoft is actually trying hard to stamp it out and they dont sell it anymore.) One reason is that the original BASIC (Beginners All purpose Symbolic Instruction Code) was designed as a language to teach people how to program. A lot of very talented programmers have said that VB 6 is still the best development environment.

ANALYSIS: In today's rapidly changing world, there is intense demand for women and men who understand other cultures and can communicate in more languages than their own. They know that a new language is an open door into very different ways of living and understanding the world.

LOCAL LITERATURE Multilingualism is a complex phenomenon and is sometimes considered a problem to national unity and ultimately, political control. A language carries with it a culture, social knowledge, and a community. The presence of many languages in a single country obviously implies many cultures, many loyalties, and many communities. Multilingualism may invite not only ethnic animosities but also ethnic wars. The political survival of a multiethnic nation clearly depends on the creation of social coherence among its peoples. In these situations, a good language policy should generate such coherence. However, a multilingual nations desire for national coherence becomes complicated when its colonial experiences pervade the national consciousness. Long after they have left the country, the colonizers cultural attitudes, traditions and loyalties may remain among the formerly colonized. In some cases, the colonized legitimize the colonizers language as the national language and in the process, subordinate their more dominant local languages. Language policies, which by their nature affect both educational and administrative systems, may give rise to a gamut of social, economic and political inequalities. Speakers of local languages become marginalized from political participation. Since they do not speak the colonizers language, work opportunities for them are limited to manual and menial tasks. The colonizers language creates a political and economic divide between the privileged and marginalized classes. Local culture is devalued; local literatures may be lost. This paper examines the influence of Philippine language policy on local literatures, particularly literature written in Waray, a language spoken in the eastern region of the Visayas. It will first provide an overview of Philippine language policy and look into the effects of the policy on Waray literature, language loyalty, Waray writers responses, and literary production. Data for this paper were gathered from existing, literature, surveys, and personal experiences.

FOREIGN STUDIES In the computer world, networks are the primary means of inter-computer communications. The building and maintenance of a network is the responsibility of the network manager. The network manager must have the expertise to design and implement an appropriate network for his client. The proper design of a network is based on more than a few principles. However, the job of the network manager encompasses more than simply building a useable network, although that is the end result. According to Sheth Sonal, Kotak Mahindra Bank is one of the best organization where they can study about networking and clear their concepts. They selected this particular network, so that the impact of networking on a corporate world can be studied closely. Mr .Prasad Mehta, a network engineer, helped them to clear all queries and concepts of networking. In this case study, they have mainly focused on the concepts of technological development in networking field, along with the network design. In this centre, a star topology is used. Because, it is less expensive, requires less cabling and easy to install and reconfigure.[1] Source:http://www.studymode.com/essays/Computer-Network-Management139242.html

LOCAL STUDIES The Masbate Gold Project is located on the island of Masbate 350 kilometers south of Manila. This remote location is 70 kilometers via rough road from Masbate City with no fixed line communication, Internet or cell network coverage. The project required a reliable and efficient network for I.T., voice, and data services that met FRCs requirements and able to progress from feasibility to production in a rugged environment. Imaginet has worked with FRC since their involvement with the project began in 2004. Initial requirements were basic remote communications for 5 users. It was crucial to FRC that any systems implemented allowed for seamless expansion to accommodate the predicted growth of the FRC's presence at the mine site, the regional headquarters in Makati City, Manila and Head office in Perth. With a 3-Man on site team, plus one in Makati and the 24*7 Help Desk, Imaginet manages FRCs PC, Server & Communications network comprising over 150 user secure network (multiple site, remote location) for data and voice, leased line link plus 'last mile' wireless from Makati City to site using copper, microwave and wireless, secure VOIP between Philippines sites and internationally using SIP, messaging, File and Database servers for email and industry specific applications including automated backup and recovery and Wi-Fi bridging of 10 buildings on site to central office for data, voice and video.[1]
