Davids Mighty Warriors Outline.

The Scriptures are so fill with wonderful and rich stories of the people who wrote them, their transformation, their behavior and character, due to the assimilation of the Word of God. These stories would eventually come to our libraries in these generations, leaving us profound and wonderful teachings, in such a way that we can, not only respect such Biblical characters, but also to learn about their customs, especially when it was a question of a personal relation with our Almighty God. The Bible always surprises us with those stories and descriptions, sometimes in such a way that one can find them bizarre, a bit complex or difficult to understand, but in reality there are so simple. The message of the Bible was, is, and will be a simple message, of our Father in Heaven looking for His creatures on a daily basis, so they can repent, return back [TShuvah] to His Commandments. The most important and First step is this: Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Mathew 3:2, 4:17. ESV. Thats been the message of God through the Prophets and finally through His ultimate manifestation of His Love, His own Shekinah Yeshua HaMashiach. Read the verses. 2 Samuel 23:13-17

And three of the thirty chief men went down and came about harvest time to David at the cave of Adullam, when a band of Philistines was encamped in the Valley of Rephaim. 14David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then at Bethlehem. 15And David said longingly, "Oh, that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem that is by the gate!" 16Then the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate and carried and brought it to David. But he would not drink of it. He poured it out to the LORD 17and said, "Far be it from me, O LORD, that I should do this. Shall I drink the blood of the men who went at the risk of their lives?" Therefore he would not drink it. These things the three mighty men did. 2 Chronicles 29:6. Then the leaders of fathers houses made their freewill offerings, as did also the leaders of the tribes, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the officers over the kings work.

2 There is a parallel text on 1 Chronicles 11. This text named the Mighty Warriors of David, more than 30 men who were fighting with David, even when he was not in the throne, but was already anointed by Samuel. There is also a fascinated story about three guys who transformed their lives from one day to another. King David is tired from a long day, is probably hot, and suddenly the King gets thirty and the Scriptures said the he said longingly, "Oh, that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem that is by the gate! Is not an other of a feudal king, he knows that he can not put his men on risk, this is just a desire, he probably just whispered to himself, his heart desired to have water from the well in Beth Lechem (the same well that probably was in use years latter when Messiah King was born, who knows, I can only speculate). These three men were so close to the king that they were able to hear what the king wanted, so they decided to go to the Philistine camp and get the water for his king. Having a military background I would imagine that this guys would have a plan to sneak into the camp, carefully aim the well, get the water and get out the camp without having an engagement with the enemy, if not needed (I assume that just as a plan of a todays group of special forces would have). But is not the case with these guys. The text said that the three men broke through the camp of the Philistines and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate and carried and brought it to David I can imagine those guys looking at each other, and without any words they decided to run to the well and get the water for his king. But then, broke trough in other words they smashed their way, they cross over the camp. Thats probably making a lot of noise. I mean, what these guys were thinking? The Chronicles of the Kings of Israel mentioned these three men, and said that nobody were like this three.

3 See, there were probably 300 men on Davids personal guard. Only 30 to 37 are mentioned as his mighty warriors, but only these three men were more special. Why? Because nobody were closer to the king but this three men. But not only that there were not only loyal to their king. They had passion to serve him. That to me was a way to say: Here we are Philistines, we are the servants of king David, he wants water, and we are going to do anything to get it for him. Even at the expense of our own lives. Dont mess with us. And so they left body parts, guts, blood, people screaming after they did this little water pick up operation. But again, they were close to the king. That is the key to be successful in this life. A couple of my favorite movies are The Patriot and Braveheart, both by Mel Gibson, I know they are bloody and full of uncomfortable scenes, but the reason I like them is because of History and peoples way of sacrifice to have freedom, which apparently can not be find without blood shed. Blood. Sacrifice. Two important things to remember. Remember the price that someone else pay for my freedom. Can you imagine the way those guys broke through the camp of the Philistines? Some Commentaries of the Rabbis and other Scholars regarding to this verses. Why David do not wanted to drink that water? Hes was a Torah observant. Love your Neighbor as yourself. Not only he was worry about his men. But he was not happy about the lives of his enemies. He learn to Love his enemies. Why this story is special to me?

4 See, those guys were really close to the King. That is why they were able to hear his Kings desires. And, how they were able to what they do? They have passion for their king. They were able to whatever it takes for their king, even before hi asked them for it. And without hesitation they will carry out his kings orders. This story is special to me. Because it made me think about, How close I am from my King Yeshua the Messiah? Are you close to the King? How close are you? If you dont feel that you are close to the King tonight, Ill give some tips that Im pretty sure will help to be close to him: Tips to be close to the King: When you go home tonight, Id like you to be close to the King. 1. Shut all the electronics off (TV, Computer, games, etc.) 2. You need to pray. Pray three times a day. Shacharit, Minchat, Avrit. 3. Read and Study the Scriptures. Not only read but also Study your Bibles. I always recommended a verse before to read and study. Then he said to them, "These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled." 45Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures [Luke 24:44-45]

8 LORD your God seven days. 41 You shall celebrate it as a feast to the LORD for seven days in the year. It is a statute forever throughout your generations; you shall celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All native Israelites shall dwell in booths, 43that your generations may know that I made the people of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God." 44Thus Moses declared to the people of Israel the appointed feasts of the LORD. [OTHER FESTIVITIES] Purim and Hanukkah. We know that these ones are not establish by the Lord, but are in line with the traditions of salvation of the Jewish People, and we have evidence of at list one of them [Hanukkah] was celebrated by our Messiah. At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon. [John 10:22-23]
22

The Bibles festivities may be identified with the covenants and Messiah Yeshua: At Passover, we left Egypt [Sin] slavery, we receive the promised blessing, Jews and non/Jews went out together into the wilderness to form the nation of Israel. The death of Yeshua is on Passover. [Luke 22] The festivities that serve as a link to connect to Passover with Shavuot[bread without leaven, Omer, First fruits], are perfectly integrated with the Messiah. His resurrection and His Ascension happen is this period of time. Shavuot, the promise is revealed in the Torah, we received the Torah to be a nation "to remain faithful to the Lord" [Deuteronomy 4:1/8]. Is fulfilled the promise of the Master to send the Ruach Chacodesh to His Talmidin, to make them witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the Earth. Promise wich was given to the 120 and the 3000 pious Jews comoimng from all the nations who were in the Temple [Acts 1:8; and 2]. Yom Tera/Rosh HaShanah. The Reign of the dynasty of David from the Tribe of Judah. Yeshua is called the Son of David in the

9 Apostolic writings. Yeshua will come back again as King of Kings and Lord of Lords [Zechariah 14:4,9; Luke 1:11; Revelation 19:16]. Yom Kippur. Time to clean up our sins. The Jubilee year starts on Yo m Kippur. Time of the Final Judgement. We ensure that our names are registered in the books of life. [Revelation 20: 12-15;21: 27] Sukkot. We will live together with the Lord in the Sukkah. It is traditional in this festival to invite the Patriarchs to the Sukkah. Yeshua was born in a Sukkah [Emmanuel _ G-d with us]. Without a doubt, the Covenants, promises and the festivities, are one in Yeshua the Messiah. He is at the base of all. He is the hope of life after death, He is the resurrection and life. Are you close to the King? If you are not close to The King, hope you start to get close to him tonight. And if you think that you are close. You can get even closer and serve him with passion.
