GAUGE: Exact gauge is not important to this project NOTES: 1. 2. 3. to Body is worked with 6 colors, following Chart 1. Arms and Legs are worked with 2 colors, following Chart 2. Charts are worked in St st (k on RS, p on WS). Follow Charts from right to left on RS rows, from left right on WS rows. Carry color(s) not in use across WS of work.

IMPORTANT NOTE Doll is not intended to be a toy. Because of button eyes, Doll should not be given to small children.

BODY With A, cast on 52 sts. Purl 1 row. Next Row (RS): Knit, following Row 1 of Chart 1 and repeating the 4 sts of this chart 13 times across row. Work in St st (k on RS, p on WS), repeating Rows 1-20 of Chart 1 until piece measures about 5 1/2 in. (14 cm) from beg. Change to G, and continue in St st until piece measures about 6 in. (15 cm) from beg.

Bind off. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Use tail to seam sides.

ARMS (make 2) With C, cast on 12 sts. Purl 1 row. Next Row (RS): Knit, following Row 1 of Chart 2 and repeating the 4 sts of this chart 3 times across row. Work in St st, repeating Rows 1-4 of Chart 2 until piece measures about 4 in. (10 cm) from beg. Next Row: With A, *k2tog; rep from * to end of row - 6 sts at the end of this row. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through sts of last row and pull to gather. Knot securely. Use rem tail to seam sides of Arm, stuffing lightly as you sew.

LEGS (make 2) With C, cast on 12 sts. Purl 1 row. Next Row (RS): Knit, following Row 1 of Chart 2 and rep 4 sts of Chart 3 times across row. Work in St st, repeating Rows 1-4 of Chart 2 until piece measures 6 in. (15 cm) from beg. Next Row: With A, *k2tog; rep from * to end of row - 6 sts at the end of this row. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread tail through sts of last row and pull to gather. Knot securely. Use rem tail to seam sides of Leg, stuffing lightly as you sew. FINISHING Flatten Body, so that seam is at back. Sew lower edge of Body closed. Stuff Body, then seam top edge. Sew Arms and Legs to Body. Sew buttons to Body for eyes. With yarn or embroidery floss, embroider a straight st mouth. Weave in ends.
