Design of Geodesic Dome (Jan, 2010 - Apr, 2010) : Designed & fabricated a 4 metre deployable bamboo dome as part of R&D project funded by World Bank Devised a new joint design that allowed fabrication of structure without cracking of bamboo Awarded Best Civil Engineering Project 2010, the model was displayed in 3 rd Shanghai International Youth Science & Technology Expo which won 'Best Display' out of 34 displays from 17 countries Carbon Financing using Improved Cookstoves (July, 2010 - Present) : Collaborated with The Energy & Resource Institute (TERI) to study effect of cookstoves on rural environment Tested & recommended the use of cookstoves like Philips & Oorja in villages; reducing emissions by 60% Developing strategy with Ministry of Environment for implementation of improved stoves in Chattisgarh Carbon trading would lead to a cumulative economic benefit of INR 6 crores after 7 years from each taluka Cost Effective Techniques for Structural Health Monitoring - B.Tech Project (July, 2011 - Present) : Measuring & analysing the dynamic responses of structure with sensors stimulated by vibration system Detecting adverse changes over strucutre's, correlating with parameters from data acquisition sysytem Resulting in cost effective & structure-compatible technique with necessary warnings for maintenance
