Work performance analysis

You have called for me Mr. Chief Executive. Please take a seat Gladys. How are you? I need to tell you something. By all means, Im all ears. As you might already know, management has been conducting a very thorough research this whole month. We even had to buy some new computers and iPads to help with our research. Ok. I see. The ndings of our research have shown that a signicant portion of our employees time is not I repeat is not spent on work. Oh really? I nd this surprising. Unfortunately this is the truth. I have the statistics in front of me, here in this folder. These sheets of paper will demonstrate that you, Gladys, have spent 7% of your eight hour working time by being late, you have spent 11% phoning your mates, 16% drinking coffee, 19% chatting to people next to the water cooler, 6% with manicure, 8% in the lavatory, 13% in the canteen and 4% with reading newspaper headlines. It is a mystery to me Mr. Chief Executive. What is a mystery to you? What couldve happened to the remaining 16%?
