The following function is added in this firmware. 1. IU Life is not displayed is added. Software Switch No.51 0x00 : IU Life warning is displayed. (Default) Software Switch No.51 0x04 : IU Life warning is NOT displayed. - When Switch No. 51 0x04 is ON, warning of consumable life is not displayed even though Consumable Life Reminder is selected. - Software Switch can set warning display to ON and OFF even though IU Life Stop Setting is set to ON or OFF. - Despite the Software Switch setting, Oiled mark icon is displayed. * If perform setting modification of IU life warning using Software Switch, only panel display of warning is supported. Auto call on the IU Life, and information display of PSWC and MIB etc. are same as before.

3. Functional restrictions 3.1 Functional restrictions Refer to the PRI of [MFP FW Ver: J8] Mass-Production Program i-option2 (F.E.3) Maintenance release for details. (DLBT0801720EN*) If the firmware is GW6-R6 or former, the following symptom occurs. When upgrading to this firmware (GFF-R6), please perform the following procedure. If turn ON the main switch for the first time (only first time) after upgrading this firmware, The Arp of any IP address other than IP address that is set is sent occurs. [PEBJKK09005573, PEBJKK09006549, PEBJAC09004039, PEBNZ_09001091] This symptom does not occur when turning ON the main switch for second times or more. Please follow the following procedure after upgrading the firmware. 1. After upgrading the firmware, remove a network cable from the MFP before turning ON the main switch. 2. Turn ON the main switch and the sub power switch. 3. After Ready to copy. is displayed, insert the network cable. 4. Turn ON the main switch.

Upgrade Procedure to this version Please check the firmware version which is being installed in your bizhub C203 at present before updating the firmware. Then update the firmware according to either of the following procedures. (4-1 or 4-2. 4-3.)

Message "Address Book upgrade complete" will be displayed then press "OK" button. 4-3. Cautions You cannot upgrade using ISW from Initial Function Version or Function Enhacnement1 to this Version. Even if you upgrade the version to i-Option2, you can use the printer driver and applications for Function Enhancement 1/Function Enhancement2 i-option. If you upgrade the version to i-option2, you cannot perform version down to Initial Function Version or Function Enhacnement1. If you use the License Activation Base Functions (LK-101/102/103), you need to add the additional memory. Please install the additional memory before you activate the License Activation Base Functions. When you use the My address function and My panel function, you also need to add the additional memory. If you upgrade the version to i-option2, you can use ID&Print (Touch&Print) without Authentication Device. If you use Authentication function without using the authentication device when updating the version to i-option2, default of ID&Print is ON. When performing login, a job is printed out. If you do not want to use ID&Print, please set following setting to OFF. Administrator Settings> User Authentication Settings/Account Track> User Authentication Settings> Administrative Settings> ID&Print Settings> ID&Print * It excludes it when updating from i-option to i-option2. From ISO15408 compliance reason, after upgrading firmware to this version, the default setting for SMTP RX setting will be OFF. Before upgrading the firmware to this version, please check the SMTP and note SMTP RX setting. After upgrading the firmware, please configure the SMTP RX setting as it was. [HDD Version Upgrade (LK)] To convert the data format, select the key as follows. Select Service Mode > State Confirmation > Memory HDD Adj. > HDD Version Upgrade (LK).

Press "Start" key to start "HDD Version Upgrade (LK)". Message "Please turn the main switch off and on" will be displayed then turn OFF/ON the main power of MFP.
