UWKC is seeking a talented Donor Relationship Manager, with a demonstrated record of consistent accomplishments who will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with current and prospective major gift donors and soliciting gifts of $10,000 or more. This position works strategically with staff and volunteers to orchestrate introductions to new donors and facilitate peer-to-peer asks. Passion for United Ways mission and an emphasis on customer service are critical to the Donor Relationship Managers success. Examples of job duties for this position include: Develop, cultivate and maintain major gift donor and volunteer relationships within the assigned portfolio. (Average portfolio size of donors and prospects = 150) Develop fundraising goals for portfolio; build strategies to meet those goals. Meet monthly sales call and Ambassador call goals (12 and 4, respectively). Build relationships, support and recruit volunteer ambassadors in order to meet fundraising goals. Work closely with United Way Workplace Giving staff to maximize workplace connections in order to further cultivate major donors and prospects and as a result of that cultivation, enhance the overall United Way workplace campaign. Capture significant relationship activities, financial projections and donor information in Microsoft CRM. Work closely with United Way Pledge Processing/Accounting staff to ensure accuracy of donor pledges, payments and designations to other agencies.

UWKC is seeking candidates with the following skills: Successful fundraising experience using a, consultative selling approach, major gift cultivation/solicitation, volunteer management, project management and computer software applications. Must be able to prioritize activities and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity. Ability to analyze donor information, plan, set goals and objectives and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must have demonstrated strong diplomacy and collaboration skills to effectively work with donors and other departments within the organization. Must have a demonstrated record of holding self-accountable for achieving results and be able to orchestrate meetings with donors and staff to advance the goals of the organization. Must have adequate math skills for oversight of donor pledges, payments and giving history. Position requires demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, customer service skills, discretion in work and working in a diverse team environment. Must be careful with sensitive, confidential donor information. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelors degree or equivalent, specializing in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field and at least four years experience in fundraising. Proven solicitation experience of gifts $10K and higher; experience closing multi-year gifts preferred. Demonstrated volunteer management experience at high levels of an organization. Compensation: UWKC offers a competitive total compensation package. Base compensation is low to mid-sixties range.
