Presented by: Mary Bachman, Volunteer Resources Department Director, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis Mary.bachman@cctwincities.org 612-204-8415 Kate Kelly, External Affairs and Communications Director, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis Kathleen.kelly@cctwincities.org 612-204-8367

Two Unique Departments

Volunteer Department is in charge of identifying corporate groups to volunteer in the 17 sites across our geographic territory. Corporate/Foundation Relations is in charge of soliciting corporations and foundations for cash and inkind support.

Integrate
The challenge: How can we grow the number of organizations who volunteer and encourage them to also donate? How do we:
Collect and invest in stronger data management? Build new revenue streams/cross promotion and branding?

2009
A challenging year to grow new corporate revenue dollars. CFR identified organizations whose giving guidelines matched Catholic Charities mission. Asked Volunteer Department to help prepare for solicitation. Many organizations will not accept an LOI, or a grant proposal unless we have employees volunteering at our sites.

Establish Integrated Plan 2009 -2010

Departments worked together to generate a list of these organizations. Invested in the resources needed to capture names, emails and contact information to add into the Raisers Edge File. Invested in photography and videographer to attend volunteer events and shoot for future promotion in internal, external and other online communications.
