Safe Circuit
A pressure switch in the power lock unit is activated if the hydraulic pressure falls below a certain level in a circuit. An interlock circuit connected with the basic circuit maintains the safety to detect the failure. A non-leak valve in the power lock unit maintains the pressure. An interlock circuit between a bottom clamp and a die lifter holds the slide in place during the operation of a die lifter. A standard system equips with a hydraulic pressure gauge for a visual inspection.

Example: For an injection molding machine with a capacity of 550 ton The mold opening force is 40 ton, which requires 8 TM clamps for 10 ton, or 8 LY clamps for 10 ton.
External Preparation
Use a moving cart to transport and place a mold drawn from a mold rack to an injection molding machine, and prepare a turnover machine necessary for the mold repair.

2. Clamping Force
An inclined plane serves as a wedge to enhance the clamping force.
3. Safety
The calculated component force clamps a mold. The force P shall be applied from the opposite direction of the cylinder force to unclamp the mold. The clamping force is maintained if no pressure is applied due to an oil leak or the damaged hose.

Features S
AFSY type auto clamp is a semi-auto SY clamp attached with a chain, an air cylinder and a small motor, which allows automatic forward and backward movements. No operator is needed to operate this movable slide clamp. A compact design that introduces a hydraulic hose and a proximity switch cable built into a chain to eliminate the interference of a feed bar from a transfer line. A slide roller chain in a movable part prevents the damage by the vibration of press. Mainly used in a large press to clamp a mold in place regardless of the mold size.

Features
A mold can move on a roller by the force less than 1/100 of the mold load. The scrap protection cover is attached around a roller. The protection bushing with a specially treated surface protects the bearing in a roller. An integral bar has a remarkable durability, and allows an easy maintenance. A hydraulic cylinder moves upward by hydraulic, and downward by self-weight. A roller attached to a bar rises about 2mm fom the surface of a bolster, and a mold moves upward as shown in Fig. on the previous page.

Put a mold in place on a free bearing. Clamp a top mold to a slide, and then clamp a bottom mold to lower a free bearing by the clamping force, so as to closely touch a bottom mold with the bolster (Or move a slide downward to closely touch a bottom mold with the bolster, so as to clamp a bottom mold). If there is any hole or irregularity on the base plane of a mold, attach a steel sheet more than 3.2T to the base plane. Additionally installing a free bearing on the plate that moves molds may reduce the manpower.

Guide Roller
CBO Type
Features
Install a guide roller in front of a mold to facilitate the change of the mold in a press. The type varies depending on the weight of a mold. Easily install to move heavy objects, as well as molds. Detachable, foldable and fixed guide rollers are available. CBC type is vertically foldable and detachable, which gives a larger workspace. Special bushing type roller has a remarkable durability and a high resistance to shock. The attached stopper prevents a mold from dropping to ensure a safe input/output of a mold. Commonly used for light and medium load.

If the SOL (A) is off, an air pilot operated directional control valve (C) is not operated regardless whether the SOL (B) is on or off. It is suitable to be used between a die lifter and a clamp.

A cart is used to change the large-sized and standard molds in a large injection molding machine. A single cart is generally fixed on the side of an injection molding machine or press for one-way or two-way operation. A cart is driven by roller or hook (option). Compatible with an injection molding machine, and allows an easy operation for a quick mold change. It is commonly used, because the preparation can safely be conducted even if an injection molding machine or press is in operation. One cart can cover two machines to increase the economical efficiency and maximize the space utilization. A remote control is introduced to ensure a safety and visibility (option).
