This morning, Pastor Steve resumes our sermon series on 1 Peter called Far from the Home I Love. 11:00 AM Sunday School & Small Groups for All Ages 5:30 PM Evening Service 7:00 PM Youth Group THIS WEEK Wednesday Midweek Ministries @ 7 PM HCS Thursday Love INC Bible Study @ 7 PM Hillcrest CRC ANNOUNCEMENTS New Members & Sacraments Next Sunday morning, we will publicly receive Marc & Ruth Scaturro as members of Cedar Church. Additionally, we will baptize their covenant child, Evelyn Janette Scaturro. In the evening service, we will celebrate the sacrament of the Lords Supper. Our benevolent offering is for the Biblical Counseling Center in both the morning & evening service. For more information on the ministry of the counseling center, please see the insert in todays bulletin. Fellowship Lunch Next Sunday, February 10 is our fellowship lunch. Each family is asked to bring a pot of soup and either a salad or dessert. There is a sign up for the soup, rolls will be provided. This is always a favorite so please come and join us. See Rebecca Van Dyke with any questions. Progressive Dinner - Our Annual Progressive Dinner will be Saturday, February 16, beginning at 5:00 pm. Please join us for an evening of mixing and mingling. What a great way to meet and get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ! God has richly blessed us through these opportunities of fellowship. A signup sheet can be found on the table in the gym where you can let us know how you would like to participate. Please speak to Dawn DeWent if you are interested in hosting for Appetizers, Dinner or Dessert!

ANNOUNCEMENTS Young Adult Winter Ski Retreat - On February 15th 17th, we will host our annual Winter Ski Retreat for young adults (college age and above) at Rockford Springs Community Church (OPC) in Rockford, MI. There will be lots of good food, fellowship and winter snow sports @ Caberfae. The cost is incredibly affordable$20 for the entire weekend!! Our snow sports cost additional, but are well priced skiing or snowboarding is only $25 more, and equipment rental is only $20 more. Brochures are coming soon. Youth Group Pando Outing - Junior and Senior High YouthGroup members MARK YOUR CALENDARS for our second annual Pando event. On Friday, February 22 we will meet at 6 p.m. in the Cedar Church parking lot and plan to arrive back at church around 10:30 p.m. Please plan to dress accordingly. The cost of tubing will be covered by the Youth Group Fund, but please plan to bring a small amount of cash if you wish to purchase snacks in the ski lodge. For more info, see Diana Sprik. Ordination & Installation Service - On Sunday morning, February 17th, Cedar Church will install Elder Bill Grysen, as well as ordain and install Deacon Paul Sprik. Be sure to welcome these brothers in their service to Christs church. Soli Deo Gloria! You can make a difference! Are you looking for a place to volunteer in 2013? Tax receipt letters will be provided Reformed Theology Conference The Philadelphia Conference on Reformed Theology will be held at Byron Center 1st CRC March 15-17, 2013. This years topic is In The Beginning: Adam, God, and You. Speakers are Dr. Joel Beeke, Rev. Kevin DeYoung, Dr. Jon Payne, Dr. Richard Phillips, and Dr. Derek Thomas. To register or for more information go to www.alliancenet.org. Annual Mission Conference- Redeemer OPC in Ada will be hosting the annual Missions Conference on March 8-9, 2013. Doug Clawson, Associate General Secretary of OPC Foreign missions, will be the main speaker. Cornerstone URC Womens Conference - On March 15-16, Cornerstone URC in Hudsonville will be hosting their Annual Womens Conference.
