iHCM on AWS 1st Deployment Goes Live

DIGINFO's first deployment of its flagship iHCM solution on AWS (Amazon Web Services) in October last year for a large fast-food chain had successfully went live last month. "This is a big milestone for us and a testament that cloud computing is now upon us and DIGINFO is at the front row of this disruptive technology", says DIGINFO CEO and Chief Innovation Architect Nilo N. Poso. "AWS has proven to be a formidable IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) platform and we had quickly adopted it for our iHCM solution. With AWS, we had eliminated most problems on hardware, software and network issues since these are nonexisting in cloud computing. This translates to substantial savings for our customers. In fact, we had already deployed our own iMachines to AWS in a month's time even without technical support whatsoever from AWS", Poso added... read more

iMachineCloud SaaS Packages Unveiled

SMALL companies can now afford and even match the IT prowess of big companies and enjoy the much-vaunted benefits of cloud computing such as zero hardware and software cost, reduced electricity and broadband bills, and maintenance-free IT. At 'sachet-pricing' plan that starts at P2,995 per month for BOS/e PayFast, small companies can now enjoy the full capability of the software without buying computer hardware and database software. Powered by AWS, the modular yet fully integrated apps on iMachineCloud include DIGINFO's bestsellers such as BOS/e PayFast, BOS/e PeopleWARE and iBOSE/e WebShell. Upcoming apps are BOS/e BusinessWARE for Business and Accounting, and BOS/e BuildWARE for Project, Services and Manufacturing. These apps will complete the suite of enterprise apps that small companies can seamlessly integrate to fully automate the entire processes of their business operations. With iBOS/e WebShell, iMachineCloud provides small companies with their own 'Live' portal, workflow, self-service and business social platform. With such an encompassing vision for a company's cloud computing system, iMachineCloud aims to live up to its 'Paperless. ITless. Officeles.' mantra.

DIGINFO Talent-Awardees For 2012 Feted In 21st Anniversary Celebration

DIGINFO Migrates Its Own iMachines to AWS

AS had been traditionally observed in the past annual celebrations, DIGINFO's 21st anniversary was no different with spotlight focused on the company's top talent-contributors for 2012 in the areas of design, innovation and project leadership. Anthony Villanueva got the Innovation Award + cash prize for his R&D work on BOS/e BusinessWARE, a new BOS/e app for Business and Accounting (with at least four companies already waiting for beta-testing). Mark Solis got the Innovation Award + cash prize for his extraordinary R&D work on an iBOS/e CustomWARE app for an extra large fastfood chain (did we say chicken + donut + katsudon + a lot more?). Leo Lagumbay got the Innovation Award + cash prize for his pioneering R&D work on iBOS/e KnowledgeWARE whose apps integrate/interface with the best of open source technologies (which proves that Google doesn't have the monopoly of creating a 'No-Evil-Platform')... read more LATE in November last year, DIGINFO has silently carried out its radical paradigm shift by far by applying its "Paperless. ITless. OfficeLess." mantra to itself. Such radical shift was the migration of all of its iMachines, which run the company's internal systems, to AWS. As a result of the abrupt shift to AWS, DIGINFO's electricity bill has gone down by at least 50%, its broadband DSL bill by 75%; and it has emptied two small rooms full of hardware servers and networking gears which will now be converted into a training room. For DIGINFO's talents, they now enjoy fast, wireless connection to the company iMachines wherever they would prefer to work with zero system snags and network glitches previously caused by power fluctuations, bandwidth disconnections, and similar data center snafus Now, DIGINFO talents spend their time more on collaborating and thinking up new innovations, improving software designs and revving up project leadership.
