Accessing Certification Exam Discount Vouchers

Last Updated 7 December 2012 In partnership with Learning@Cisco, the Cisco Networking Academy program offers discount vouchers that enable qualified students and instructors to take Cisco certification exams at a reduced cost.

Tips for Processing a Voucher Quickly

1. After scoring 75% or higher on your final exam in a qualifying course, ensure your course instructor passes you in the grade book so that your request voucher link appears on your homepage. It may take up to three days for the link to appear. 2. 3. Make sure the data in your Academy Connection profile is current, especially your email address. Do not register with Pearson VUE until you have followed the instructions to verify your email address and received your voucher discount details in an Exam Discount Information email from Cisco. You will receive this email approximately five days after you verify your email address. 4. When you register with Pearson VUE, make sure you enter your account details with Pearson VUE exactly as they appear on your Exam Discount Information email from Cisco. 5. Discount Voucher Eligibility

Discount vouchers are available for the following Cisco CCENT and CCNA certification exams:

ICND1 (640-822) ICND2 (640-816) CCNA Composite (640-802) CCNA Security IINS (640-554)

To qualify for a discount voucher you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

At Least 75% on First Attempt of Qualifying Course Final Exam

Pass in Grade Book

Certification Exam Discount Voucher

Networking Academy student and instructor exam candidates who successfully meet the voucher eligibility requirements will qualify for a single discount voucher, the exception to this is CCNA Discovery 4 and Exploration 4 candidates (see Figure 2 below). Discount vouchers can only be used once. Since vouchers expire three months from the time candidates become eligible, candidates should act quickly to request vouchers and schedule their exams. When you become eligible for a certification exam discount voucher, a request voucher link will appear on your Academy Connection homepage under Professional Development, as shown in Figure 1. It may take up to three days for the link to appear after your course instructor has passed you in the grade book. You are not eligible if the link does not appear.

Request Your Voucher

When you have determined your exam path, click the associated link to request the voucher for the exam(s) you selected. Please make sure you are clicking the link for the exam(s) you intend to take. When you click a link to request your discount voucher, if more than one link is displayed for a course, the other links will disappear. You will not have the opportunity to undo your selection. Neither the candidate nor Cisco can make changes to a voucher after a request has been submitted. No exchanges or refunds will be made. Note that exam discount promotions and exam prices are subject to change. These changes may occur without notice, so make sure you verify the value of the discount and the price of the exam when you request and redeem your discount. Take your exam in a timely manner to minimize your chances of being negatively affected by any changes.

Discounts are country-specific and are not interchangeable. Vouchers are nontransferable and are valid for 3 months following the date of your qualifying course final exam. Individuals who use any unauthorized discount or promotional code may have their exam results invalidated and risk a lifetime ban on all future exams and the nullification of all previous certifications. Cisco will not replace any voucher that is found to be fraudulent or used.
