ACE & PRESORT Jobs And their Execution

1) Open the Remote Desktop icon on your desktop.

2) Login to 10.204.64.12 with your NA credentials.

3) Locate ACE Views and Presort in Business Object Applications.

Note: You may also access these directly through shortcuts.

4) For the Outputs from the ACE and PRESORT jobs, look into OUTPUT FROM ACE D: PWJOBSACEOutput OUTPUT FROM PRESORT (MAIL.DAT) OUTPUT FROM PRESORT D:PWJOBSPresortOutputMail_dat files D:PWJOBSPresortOutput

5) For executing ACE job, we have to make sure that the file to be processed must ready in the input directory D:PWJOBSACEInput . Make sure the version (can be known through date modified) and name of the file should be current and name should be SAP_DELIVERIES.TXT.

For downloading a new file or the file to be processed from FTP (the location is already configured), find the batch (.bat) named ECC_Deliveries.bat in the input file location for ACE D:PWJOBSACEInput

6) Launching an ACE Job can be achieved through two methods: 6.a) Directly executing a batch file called Complete_Job.bat which will be in the path mentioned below from your local desktop Z(PW):JOBSACEInput. The output of this job is configured and can be viewed Z(PW):JOBSACEOutput PW directory is the network drive, already present on your desktop.

6.b) The second and preferable method includes working on Remote desktop itself. For accessing ACE jobs, Open ACE VIEWS ( as mention in step 3). Select the job from available list of jobs (here SAP_DELIVERIES.ace) from D: PWaceSAP_DELIVERIES.ace

7) For executing this job, you may either click the TRAFFIC LIGHT button or go through FILERun Job.

8) The outputs of this ACE job are A cleansed and address corrected database file (.DBF) which will be the input for the Presort Job. Job summary report (.ajs). CASS 3553 report (.353). Executive summary report (.aex) Error Report (.err) Job and File statistics file (.txt)

All files are placed in Output directory D:PWJOBSACEOutput

9) Executing PRESORT job requires launching of job through PRESORT VIEWS as shown in step3. The job SAP_DELIVERIES.pst should be selected from the list of jobs available. The directory where our job is D:PWpstSAP_DELIVERIES.pst.

10) You may execute the job either by clicking on TRAFFIC LIGHT button or through FILERun Job.

11) The output for the Presort Job include Address output file (Presort_output.csv), which is the sorted file with IMBs in it. Default Report file( .dat) Job Summary report (.pjs) Sorting list (.msl) USPS qualification report (.pqr) Postage statement (.360) Drop Shipment document (.812) IDEA Mail.dat All the above listed files can be found in the output folder D:PWJOBSPresortOutput

12) The output files can be also copied from our desktop too from PW directory ( network drive).
