June 2012- August 2012 Martin De Porres High School Queens, NY Principals Assistant Worked at Special Education High School assisting with filtering incoming students, clerical work, contacting parents, and student sessions and intake interviews. May 2011- August 2011 Greater Than One: Digital Solutions Agency New York, NY Account Team (East) Intern- Worked directly with the account team in a midsize digital solutions agency that handled the digital marketing of companies including Mastercard, NYU, Lunesta, Omnaris. Prepared presentations for client meetings, took meeting notes, and familiarized myself with the field of consumer digital marketing, and digital marketing in the pharmaceutical arena. February 2011- May 2011 CB2 Washington, DC Stock Associate- Worked as a part of the first team to open the new CB2 location in Georgetown. Received extensive training on all products and manufacturing processes, and helped develop a system to organize and categorize stock items. SCHOOL ACTIVITIES February 2011- pres. Pi Gamma Mu Washington, DC Member - Pi Gamma Mu is the International Honor Society for students who have achieved excellence in their respective social science major. I was chosen to be part of this fraternity, to represent the top 35% of the graduating senior class. I used this opportunity to network with others in my field who share common goals and interests. January 2009- pres Alpha Phi Omega Washington DC Historian (fall 2009) - The Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity serves the D.C. community by volunteering at and hosting a multitude of events, focused on lower income families, the homeless, and mentally and physically handicapped individuals. As the elected historian I kept a record of all of the chapters service projects and was responsible for informing others of the history of the fraternity. Sept. 2008 May 2011 Take Note Acapella Washington, DC Treasurer- Co-ed acapella group at The Catholic University of America. Performed at different venues in and around the D.C. area. My duties as treasurere included handling all inter-group and intra-group financial transactions, and keeping detailed records of all revenue received from performances, and CD sales. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE AND ACTIVITIES KPMG P.H.D. Project Chosen from 2500 applicants to participate in three day project in Chicago seeking to increase the diversity of corporate America by increasing the diversity of business school faculty. Attended three day program of seminars and workshops designed to provide a network of peer support and mentoring to minority students. (November 2011) Mission Belize - Service experience with group of fellow CUA students to the rural town of Punta Gorda, Belize. Constructed, cemented, and painted elementary school library, participated in one-on-one tutoring, and lead classroom lessons with impoverished children. (Spring 2011) National Student Leadership Conference Participant (NSLC) Washington D.C.- (Summer 2006) Experiment in International Living Participant- Costa Rica (5 week community service) (Summer2006).
