THEME Recent Breakthrough in Sciences
Science and Technology has always contributed for the betterment of living beings on this planet. The advancement in science and technology has changed the lifestyle of the society; in particular the communication and health. The XXVII-GSC will address and discuss the issues and approaches during the meeting with recent breakthrough in sciences as the key issues. The congress intends to promote the cause of science in Gujarat by fostering communication between scientists, planners and society and identify future thrust areas of research for the benefit of the state.

GSA
Gujarat Science Academy (GSA), established in 1978, is a premier academic organization comprising of scientists in Gujarat drawn from Universities, Research and Technological Institutes, Medical fields and the like. At present, there are about 250 Fellows and Associate Fellows in GSA, who contribute to many-fold scientific activities of the academy. One of the regular programmes of the Academy since long has been to organize the Annual Gujarat Science Congress in different parts of Gujarat State. In cooperation with other Scientific & Technical Organizations, GSA organizes seminars, workshops, programmes in science for children and publishes books on science.

CHARUSAT
Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) is established with a vision to become a dynamic global institution in knowledge economy through excellence and impact of teaching, research and social contribution and follows the Mission to serve the society by striving to transform it through creation, augmentation, dissemination and perpetuation of knowledge. CHARUSAT is established under the Gujarat State Act No. 8 of 2009, Government of Gujarat and recognized by UGC to award degree under section 22 of UGC act 1956. CHARUSAT offers 39 programmes in Engineering, Pharmacy, Computer Application, Management, Applied Sciences, Nursing and Physiotherapy. The Knowledge Resource Centre at CHARUSAT is wellequipped with 33,000 books, 400 eBooks, 4000 e-journals and 2500 educational CDs. There are more than 8 crores worth research projects funded by various governments funding agencies at CHARUSAT. There are nearly 8-10 patents have been filed during the sort span of 5 years and published more than 200 research papers in International and nationals journals of repute.
