Parallel Computation of 3-D Flow in a Mixed Compression Air-Intake.

Done under the supervision of Dr. Sanjay Mittal, the objective was to study the behaviour of ow inside jet air-intakes at supersonic speeds by doing numerical simulations. Did Finite Element Formulation of the Navier-Stokes equations to obtain large linear equations systems of the order of 10 million. Developed a parallel application in Fortran using the MPI libraries for a multi-node cluster to solve this matrix system. Also wrote post processing routines to visualize the data obtained.

An algorithmic trading application, Google Summer of Code 2008.

Developed an algorithmic trading application and studied the eect of latencies/delays in stock quotes on real time trading. Implemented various trading strategies such as ETF arbitrage and moving averages and some heuristics for automated learning based on history for making trading requests. Based on discrete model of computation in which actors with distributed responsibilities made trading decisions; developed on the Ptolemy framework of EECS at UC Berkeley.

Implemented a mesh moving scheme in Fortran by using mathematical interpolation functions to study ows around moving objects.
