He is Registrar of the Special Field Streams of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

This presentation will review the latest literature in apexogeneis and apexication. He is also a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Australian Navy.

In this presentation, the practical process of diagnosing, stabilising and denitively treating acute traumatic injuries to the periodontium will be covered. The surgical phases of management will be described and practical advice oered. A series of cases will be used to illustrate the decision points colleagues normally meet and practical suggestions given. The main topic will conclude with a guide to managing late presenting complications. A brief review of chronic trauma in relation to periodontics will be covered with practical options to minimise risk. Dr Hunter is a Specialist Periodontist with a full time practice devoted to periodontal regeneration and implants. He has a special interest in periodontal regenerative microsurgery and teaches a programme to general practitioners in this eld.

Dr Terry Walton
AM, BDS, MDSc, MS, FRACDS A prosthodontic perspective on treatment planning for the traumatised maxillary central incisor
This presentation will give a Prosthodontist's insight into reconstruction following traumatic dental injury. The consequences of restoration, and tooth survival, must be considered especially in the prepubescent patient. The timing of extraction, if indicated, must minimise the need for heroic implant-related procedures associated with tooth replacement. Dr Walton has been in specialist prosthodontic practice in Sydney since 1983 and holds the position of Professor (Aliate) in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Sydney. This lecture will deal not only with how to manage dierent types of trauma but also explore legal principles such as consent, capacity and causation as they relate to the long term management of dental trauma. Dr Harlamb has been in specialist endodontic practice since 1995. He currently runs day courses for the ADA CPD exploring the relationship between endodontics and trauma. He holds a Master of Health Law (MHL) from the University of Sydney, was a Peer Advisor for the Dental Defence team at the ADA (NSW), and is Professional Ocer for the Dental Council of NSW.
