L : Lecture, T = Tutorial; P = Practice or Laboratory A / in the course name field separates two subjects which are to be offered to two different sets of disciplines. For example in the first semester CS1201 may be offered to CE, ME, Min, MET & AE&AM while HU1201 is offered to the rest of the departments like; ETC, IT, EE, CS etc; the same subjects are repeated in the 2nd semester in reverse order. Drawing theory and corresponding practice classes are divided into two categories: DR101 is offered to CE/AE/ME and DR1201 is offered to the rest: DR151 is the drawing practice work for CE/AE/ME and DR1251 is offered to the rest of the departments.

Engineering Mechanics (AM201) is offered to EE, CE, EC, IT, CS, MIN and MET students and Mechanics of Solids (AM202) is to be offered to the rest (AE & ME) of the departments. This is done keeping in view of the special requirements of the students of ME & AE departments. The course contents of AM201 and AM202 are broadly similar except some special topics as per the requirements. The course structure for the 1st year (1st & 2nd semester) is practically same for all the students allowing a provision of change of disciplines at the end of 1st year as per our regulations.
