A. Store documents and samples in Contractor's field office apart from documents used for construction. Do not use record documents for construction purposes; protect from deterioration and loss in a secure fire-resistive location; provide access to record documents for Saudi Aramco inspection during normal working hours. 1. Provide files and racks for storage of documents. Provide locked cabinet or secure storage space for storage of samples.

File documents and samples in accordance with Saudi Aramco instructions. Maintain documents in a clean, dry, legible condition, and in good order for turn over to Saudi Aramco in accordance with Section 01700 "Close-Out Requirement". Identification and Recording Label each document and sample "PROJECT RECORD BOOK" in neat large printed letters. As-built drawings shall be stamped as required in 1.4, B. below. Record information concurrently with construction progress. Do not conceal any work until required information is recorded. Record Documents Record Drawings: Maintain a white-print set (blue-line or black-line) of Contract drawings and accepted shop drawings in clean, undamaged condition, with markup of actual installations which vary from the work as originally shown. Mark each drawing showing the as-built condition fully and accurately according to drafting manual. Mark-up new information which is recognized to be of importance, but as for some reason not shown on either the Contract Drawings or shop drawings. Give particular attention to concealed work which would be difficult to measure and record at a later date. Note related change order numbers where applicable. Construction Progress Schedules: 1. Submit initial progress schedule in duplicate within 20 days after date established in Notice to Proceed for review by Saudi Aramco Representative. Submit a computer generated chart with separate line for each major section of Work or operation, identifying first work day of each week. Submit computer generated network analysis diagram using the critical path method (CPM), generally as outlined in Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) publication "The Use of CPM in

Construction - A Manual for General Contractors and the Construction Industry". The Contractor shall submit the CPM and the computer generated chart 14 days counted from day of site handing over. 4. Show complete sequence of construction by activity, identifying Work of separate stages and other logically grouped activities. Indicate the early and late start, early and late finish, float dates, and duration. The progress schedule shall be updated monthly. Indicate estimated percentage of completion for each item of Work at each submission. Indicate submittal dates required for shop drawings, product data, samples, and product delivery dates. Update of schedule will be as required by Saudi Aramco (minimum once a month).

As-built Drawings: 1. The Contractor shall prepare as-built drawings for delivery to Saudi Aramco. The Contractor shall use the original Contract Drawings which have been "Issued for Construction" and original mylar shop drawings which have been "Released for Construction," as the basis for the development of the as-built drawings. The Contractor shall replace the furnished Contract Drawings with updated electronic files. The as-built drawings shall contain all information reflecting the constructed condition of the facility as recorded on the Record Drawing including equipment and/or fixtures installed by the Contractor. The as-built drawings shall be stamped "AS-BUILT". The letter size shall be 25 mm x 15 mm (height x width). The as-built drawings shall be submitted in accordance with the "Shop Drawing" procedure of Section 01340. After acceptance the Contractor shall deliver the following: a. b. One complete set of accepted original as-built drawings. One complete set of blueline or blackline prints of the approved as-built drawings.

Prior to issuance of Initial Acceptance of the work a number of drawings may be selected by Saudi Aramco for processing as noted above and the Contractor shall be required to meet these requirements for reproducibility. This testing will be for the purpose of demonstrating the work meets minimum standards. Upon successful demonstration of reproducibility Saudi Aramco will proceed to microfilm the full set of drawings, and a set of prints will be prepared from the microfilmed blowback. Any drawings which do not meet the clarity and legibility requirements will be redone by the Contractor at no added cost to Saudi Aramco.

Record Specifications: During the progress of the Work maintain one copy of the specifications, including addenda, change orders and similar modifications issued in printed form during construction and mark-up variations in the actual work comparison with the text of specifications and modifications, selection of options, and similar information on work where it is concealed or cannot otherwise be readily discerned at a later date by direct observation. Note related record drawing information and product data where applicable. Record shop Drawing Information: During the progress of the Work maintain the original of each accepted shop drawing information submittal, other than shop drawings, as defined in Section 01340. Mark-up variations in the actual work in comparison with the submitted information. Include both variations from the manufacturer's instructions and recommendations for installation. Give particular attention to concealed products and portions of the work which cannot otherwise be readily discerned at a later date by direct observation. Note related change orders and mark-up of record drawings and specifications. Record Miscellaneous Submittals: During the progress of the Work maintain the record miscellaneous submittals as required by 1.2.
