Job Description Sales Assistant

Job Title: Reports To: FLSA Status: Customary Work Days: Sales Assistant National Sales Manager Non-exempt Monday - Friday Saturday & Sunday may be added as work level dictates. Customary Work Hours: 8:30 5:00 Hours are extended when workload is increased. Position Summary Duties & Responsibilities The Sales Assistant is responsible for providing organizational, clerical, and administrative services in order to ensure the smooth flow of information for prospective and existing customers. Job Requirements Answer routine product questions and direct questions to appropriate personnel when necessary. Qualify incoming leads before disseminating them to the appropriate sales representative. Work closely with sales representatives to extend high-quality, timely service to current and prospective customers. Send or deliver marketing materials to customers and deliver missing items to local customers as needed. Assist sales reps in preparation for client meetings; confirm appointments beforehand, brewing coffee, securing a booth or conference room, general clean up, etc. Receive and direct all incoming phone calls. Coordinate scheduling of conference room, company lodging accommodations, and company car usage. Participate in the coordination of miscellaneous activities and events such as tastings, grocery demos, and customer cuppings. Help with marketing/sales projects and events. Assemble sales packets and maintain stock of sales documents. Participate in continued learning and training for specialty coffee. Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Bachelors Degree preferred.

on the quality of services and Intelligentsia offerings. In depth understanding of the specialty coffee industry as a whole. Computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, MAS and SalesLogix. Self starting, and entrepreneurial, Posses a valid drivers license.
