Hillary Clinton is currently on a tour of Asian countries together

with Bill Clinton ostensibly to explore their relationships with

the new administration in Washington. Hillary Clinton started off
her tour by making some unnecessarily negative statements about
North Korea. Maybe the idea of treating all nations equally, at
least initially, never crossed her mind.

Clinton, as the new US Secretary of State is never the best of

limited choices. She is rather like old wine in a new bottle, or
perhaps more appropriately, she is old beer new can. Very few can
readily imagine her being able to help the US solve tensions in the
Korean peninsula, never mind the very inextricably tough Gaza issue.

A male diplomat with the ability to call a spade, a spade would be

a much better choice. Perhaps the choice of Clinton was a decision
made as a result of diplomatic or political expediency.

The US is currently deeply mired in the mud or perhaps the quicksand

of Iraq and Afghanistan and reports that recently surfaced indicate
that more US troops are heading towards Afghanistan. Such actions
will definitely escalate the fighting ( and killing ) there and also
prompt the Taliban and the Al Qaeda in both Pakistan and Afghanistan
to begin recruiting more fighters and suicide bombers.

These moves by the US will ensure that many more innocent civilians
will definitely continue to lose their lives and limbs to the actions
made by people who love the sounds of war rather than the call of
peace. The rights of those who do not bear arms at all are conveniently
forgotten. The Taliban there are nowhere near the shores of America
and neither are they taking potshots at American citizens. Why want more
violence in Afghanistan when one takes into consideration that past US
physical meddling in Indochina paved the way for the extreme Khmer Rouge
to take power in Cambodia. Does the US want an extreme grouping to take
power in Afghanistan and Pakistan after Americans tire of playing around
in that place ?

The US has never been sincere in wanting to introduce peace, harmony

and detente in North East Asia. American military might in the Western
Pacific historically had intently focused on North Korea and especially
China. China has always been subjected to vitriolic and unfair reports
and assessments ( many often filled with false claims ) by so-called
"China experts" at the Pentagon who want the US to maintain an offensive
capability in the region with the desire that one day it would be used
against Beijing. These people are never aware of the enormous casualties
suffered by China as a result of European and Japanese criminal actions
inflicted in the past on a weak and totally defenceless Chinese nation.
Even Americans themselves are not absent of blame. Nineteenth century
Chinese emigrants who boarded ships to return home from hard labour on
the US west coast were actually thrown overboard by American shipowners
and sailors when they were in mid-ocean. More recently, the US happily
exported HIV-contaminated blood products to China ( & other countries )
in the 1980s and helped promote death and misery; a job that is no
stranger to the America of today.

Some federal and private thinktanks in America are even already rubbing
their hands in glee in the anticipation that the present global crisis
would result in "social collapse" in China, perhaps a rebellion, a bit
not unlike the 1989 episode in the USSR. Truly, the hearts of the most
powerful and the most influential in America are filled with disdain or
even hatred for China, but these people are definitely not aware of the
Chinese people's natural inborn ability to swallow or "eat bitterness"
and endure or tolerate vast adversity. The US-generated financial crisis
is merely just one of many many foreign-made bitterness to affect China
as far as the Chinese are concerned. Many more will come in the future.

A very recent report from the US Air Force boasted that the American
F-22 stealth fighter would be able to destroy 30 Flanker-class jets
for each F-22 loss, such is the capability of this American weapon.
American weapons and American attitudes towards lesser nations are
never on the side of peace or mercy. And Clinton is not about to
change all that. Americans have never hesitated to keep their cake
and eat it at the same time. Lies are totally permissible if they
could be employed to serve useful ends. And Hillary Clinton is just
one more US diplomat to make sure that things stay that way. Her
opening statements clearly betrayed Washington's true intentions. For
the leaders in Beijing ( and eleswhere ) it pays to continue to stay
alert and never be swayed by any fleeting human charm that comes one
day and goes the next. It is after all, just old beer new can.
