DESIGN SOFTWARE
Alufix Expert software makes automatic designs for fixtures with corresponding partlists. You choose the system and define clamping points. The software calculates on the basis of this information complete solutions and variations of a fixture. For control workpiece data in the form of *.igs, *,tfd or *.vda van be uploaded. In the pictures on the left you can see variations of fixture in different setup situations. The software is self-explanatory and includes help functions. Software is free and individual training is available at cost price at your plant or in Barskamp. The design data with a macro and corresponding parts library can be converted into Catia V4/V5, Unigraphics or Autocad and can be used for offline programming

Alufix parts library for CAD Systems Fixmes is an Alufix parts library on a geometric basis for designing and documenting fixtures. Using Alufix standard elements fixtures can be built in a fraction of the time required previously. By designing the fixture on-screen expensive idle -times of the measuring machine are avoided.

81040 Fixmes Library for CATIA V4 Elements of Alufix modular fixturimg system are stored as details. The principle: At the CAD workplace the user designs the desired fixture for workpiece machining or measuring using Alufix components. To do so he can use all parts available in the Fixmes library. The selection is made according to one of the following features: - Item No. - Name - Dimension The parts of the fixture can be displayed as a wire model or solid. For a clearer image and an increase in speed individual planes or elements (holes) can be excluded. A printout of the finished fixture includes a parts list.

System requirements: Fixmes for Autocad Software The 3D Witte Fixmes Library runs under AutoCAD Version 13 from Windows 95 and Windows NT upwards. For surface modelling on contour blocks AutoSurf or even better Mechanical Desktop is necessary. The Fixmes Library also runs under AutoCAD LT for Windows 95 under Windows 95 as well as Windows NT with limited functions (no volumes or surface modelling is possible). Hardware As recommended by Autodesk for the operation of each programme.
