Short title and commencement. (1) Thee byelaws may be called the H a y u t a Municipal (Reg~strat~on Proper Control of Dogs) Byelaws, 2005. and ..{2) They shall come mto force on the date of their publichtion in the Oficial Gazclte. . (3) On registration, the owner shall be supplied by the committee witha metal token having name and address of owner eneraved on it and the owner shall cause the doe to wear at all ~times a collar with the metal t&en supplied by the committee. (4) (i) The fee for such registration has to be deposited with the municipalities. (7) (a) Any dog without collar or other marks distinguishing them as private property and not wearing the metal token of regtsbation in accordance with clause (3). if found swaying on the street or beyond the enclosures of the house of he owner of such dog, may be detalned at the dlrecnon of the person authortzed by the comminee to carry out these duttes and destroyed or otherwtse dlsposed of 11 not clatmed wtlhtn one week. A fee of Rs. 501- per day or pan ofderentton in thereof, wtll be levtahle on, and recoverable from, the owner for such ~ertod a place named by the commee. (1) On complaint made to the licensing authority that a dogwhich appaus to it to be dangerous and not kept under proper control, the licensing authority may order the owner of the dog to keep the dog under proper control. The penalty for failing to comply with such order shall be Rs. 2001- or Rs. 101- per day whichever is more. Notice of penalty shall be given to the owner during the period of non-compliance.
