Admission to M.A. in Social Work for 20L3-20L5

The Department of Social Work, University of Delhi announces admission to M.A. in Social Work for the academic session 2013-2015. The Department of Social Work is one of the oldest and premier institutions in India offering a Two- year post graduate degree in Social Work. This post-graduate course is primarily designed for those who seek opportunities in the field of social welfare and development practice.

Eligibility Criteria: Admission to the Department of Social Work is open to both men and women having completed a Bachelor's Degree programme of 3 years duration from a recognized University. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

Degree or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 year) in any discipline with minimum 55o/o marks from recognized university is eligible to apply. B.A. (H) Social Work students with a minimum of 50oh marks from a recognized University are eligible to apply. Those Candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of the Bachelor's degree are also eligible to apply subject to the qualification listed above. Candidates belonging to SC/ST shall be eligible as per Delhi University rules to pass with the minimum marks. PWD candidates shall be allowed SVorclaxation in the eligibility requirement. Candidates belonging to OBC category shall be eligible for admission as per University norms.

Selection Procedure: Those satisfying eligibility requirements will be assessed for selection through a two-stage process involving: (a) Written.Test and (b) Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The admission test will be held on 3'o March, 2013 (Sunday) at Delhi. The new academic session shall commence from 24th July,20l3 (Wednesday). Admission Bulletin along with application forms shall be available from 10fr January,2013 (Thursday) to 1lft February, 2013 (Monday) and may be obtained from the Department of Social Work against a cash payment of Rs.650/- (Rs.4504 for SC/ST/PWD candidates) at Department counter or by post or by downloading the form from website www.du.ac.in along with a demand draft of Rs.700/(Rs.500/- in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates) drawn in favour of Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at Delhi. Last date for receipt of completed applications at the Department by hand or by post is 18m February, 2013 (Monday).
