Project Overview: The objective of this project entails migrating existing virtual servers and data to new servers, SANs and server racks. Jamrock MSP is a growing company that strives to meet and exceed the demand for existing and new clients. In this case our new client is a small accounting firm with 20 employees that has 300 clients and databases that hosts their files. Due to the rapid growth of this accounting firm they need to acquire a new space and a larger network infrastructure to facilitate the growth. Project Goals/Objectives: Successfully migrate data to temporary SAN in the data center Install new racks and servers/SANs Add devices to the network and assign a static IP address Have server team successfully configure servers for VMware servers Migrate old vm servers to new servers Have network team disconnect old servers and SAN from the network and configure new servers Change the MX records for the Exchange mail server and other configurations to new servers Have this project completed in 3 days with minimal down time

Scope of Work Statement

In order for a successful project that has a crunch time of three days (weekend) additional technician are needed to speed up this process. These technicians chosen are based on qualifications and previous experience in data migration. After the selection process is completed, hardware components are checked before shipped to site location. The migration process is divided into different system requirements and roles and each technician is assigned a role to be completed. The duration of project include installing patch panels, cable installation, setup racks for SANs and servers, transferring and registering all records and licenses and complete data migration by installation of all VMware servers. Once project is completed the last 10 hours is used to test and confirm full functionality. This service and roles includes the following: Service delivery planning and project management Installation of the new system into the supported rack Installation and configuration of new severs Data migration of up to 500 GB from the existing server to the new server Migrate data services from the existing server to the new server Configuration of the new server De-installation of the existing server This SOW will be provided during the hours of 8:00am to 8:00pm, Friday through Monday, mutually agreed schedule has been arranged. This is a scheduled Service; the project manager will contact the client to schedule this Service. Any changes to the schedule must be made with at least five full business days in advance with the designated project manager to eliminate additional charges. In the event Jamrock is directed to perform activities that are outside the scope of this SOW, separate pricing for additional services must be obtained from the client. Not Included With This Service De-installation or re-installation of product(s) or application(s) unless otherwise specifically described in this SOW Any work on servers in a clustered environment Migration from one MSP vendor to another Installing cables external to the rack Installation of any non-storage related hardware or software Installation of any product into an unsupported rack Any activities other than those specifically noted in this SOW
