Course Title: Wireless Network Planning Course Code: N10 Course 90 hours Duration: Course Objectives: The purpose of the dimensioning phase is to estimate the approximate number of sites required, the base station configurations and the number of network elements, in order to forecast the projected costs and associated investments. The detailed coverage and capacity planning is presented. The detailed planning takes into account the real site locations, the propagation conditions calculated on digital maps and real user distributions based on the operator's traffic forecasts. The dimensioning and detailed planning are compared for different operators. Detailed RRM algorithms such as power control and handovers .is used in order to fully optimized the radio resources. Course Title: CDMA 2000 Course Code: ZT1 Course 90 Hours Duration: Course Objectives: This course has been designed specifically to cover the needs and essentials for CDMA networks. This course provides indepth coverage of the CDMA radio link used in Cellular networks. Upon completion, you will be able to explain the principles of CDMA technology, including the concepts of direct sequence spreading, processing gain, the use of PN sequences and orthogonal Walsh codes, RAKE receivers, and quadrature modulation.
