Context: In this unit you have been studying Digital Media. This assessment task gives you an
opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of the importance of designing for a specific target audience in mind using your skills in using digital technology.

You may work in pairs to design and create a slowmation that explains how to do a mathematical concept. Assessment Criteria - (see attached assessment criteria)
You will be marked on your ability to:
Use the software Premiere Elements, Windows Movie Maker Live or Photo Story Justify what you did and why Produce a slowmation that is suitable to the target audience and effectively explains the concept

Student Name: Year: 9 Faculty: TAS Task Name: Digital Media TASK DETAILS: Instructions to students The slowmation - Use Premiere Elements, Windows Live Movie Maker or Photo Story. - Create a slowmation of no more than 1 minute explaining a mathematical concept in a creative and engaging manner. - Each graphic should be either 0.5 or 1 second In length - The slowmation must be suitable to the target audience - You should include audio in your slowmation - Must follow copyright regulations - Keep a backup copy of your slowmation Written documentation - Identify the target audience - Explain the mathematical concept you will be creating - Record your plan for creating the slowmation - Keep a record of issues that arise and how you solved the issues - Complete a final evaluation of your slowmation - The written documentation should be carried out in an ongoing manner. - Communicate with your partner talk to each other and use Edmodo. - Create a folder in student share to keep your files but keep a backup copy on your USB. Background - Keep all your files in one folder for ease of access and organisation - You must work on this task in class. Some planning can be carried out at home. - Refer to the support notes in TAS ilearn folder on the resources drive on sing some of the software. - Remember to access the help option in the software program and Internet.
