163rd Annual Inspection

Our 163rd Annual Inspection was a wonderful meeting of Masons. In attendance were 36 members (15 Past Masters) and 67 visitors for a total of 103. Brother Zaylen de Pausata was raised to the Degree of Master Mason. Right Worshipful Brother Charles A. Dyer, DDGM of the 9th Masonic District and our Inspecting Officer, was highly complimentary of the work and our officers. Brother Brian Raiff gave the Lecture and Bro. John Wigger the Charge. Thanks to all the officers and the Craft who worked hard in learning their parts and attending the many practices. Thanks to the Craft Club for serving a delicious breakfast prior to the Inspection and to W. Bro. Richard Boitnott for conferring the Honorary Degree of Yellow Dog on many visitors.

Our Annual Inspection and Breakfast went well thanks to the dedication and hard work of the Craft Club, and volunteers. Thanks to all for attending the many practices and our Annual Inspection. Grand Masters One Day Class April 20

Grand Master James Easterling, Jr. urged Masons to use this opportunity to encourage their sons, grandsons, and friends to join our fraternity. This is the opportunity for men to join the Masonic Fraternity who in the past have not been able to find the time, or who may have been fearful of the examination after each degree. Candidates from New Carlisle Lodge will receive their degrees at the Dayton Masonic Temple. Petitions with the $160.00 fee must be received by New Carlisle Lodge no later than March 13, 2013. If you need a petition please contact a Lodge Officer. Petitioner must be 19 years old on or before April 20 and be a legal resident of Ohio for six months. The Candidate will receive all 3 degrees and when he leaves the One-Day Class he will be a Master Mason in good standing. No further examination will be required. Pauline Stevens
October 28, 1913 - February 11, 2013

Sister Pauline Stevens (99) is survived by her husband of 74 years, WB. Kenneth Stevens and six sons.

Please welcome Bro Curtis Hamlin and Bro Dustin Fry our two newest members of New Carlisle Chapter #57. The Mark Master Degree was conferred on these two brothers during the Chapters 159th Annual Inspection held on Feb 5th. Dates for the conferral of the next 3 degrees have not been set. Congratulations for a job well done to the officers and companions. Illustrious Master Willis Boitnott is getting New Carlisle Council #143 geared up for their annual inspection to be held on April 15th . The Chapter and Council are entering into a joint fund raising venture. We will be working with the Dayton Dragons Organization at the food booths.
