Ashes will be distributed at 9:00 am & 7:30 pm Masses. Reminder: Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are Days of Fasting & Abstinence. Fasting: (ages 18-59) either bread and water only OR a vegetarian diet OR only one complete meal. Abstinence: (Ages 14+) no meat or another favorite food and moderation in all food and drink.

February 27th, March 6th and March 13th The Parish of St. John the Evangelist is offering a series on Vatican II as a celebration of our 160th anniversary as a Catholic Community of faith, and their 100th anniversary as a parish, during the Year of Faith. Presented by Dr. Michael Attridge of the University of St. Michaels College, talks will be presented from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm in the church. The session topics will be as follows: Major Issues at Vatican II Vatican II and Church Development Challenges of Living Vatican II Today. All are welcome to attend.
