Step 1: Create New Integration Object Siebel IOs are used to define which Siebel data is integrated. It specifies the components and which fields to integrate and facilitates integration by exchanging integration data as XML. If a related IO already exists, then no need to create a new IO

Step 3: Create a Report Template Create/Modify report template by using Oracle BI Publisher Desktop. In this step, load the sample XML data into word document and then assign Siebel fields in the template and save the report template in RTF format. User can preview the template while designing it. When the template file is saved, the following files are created and stored in the Siebel File System. In Connected Mode, RTF and XLIFF Files In Disconnected Mode, XSL and XILFF Files
Step 4: Register Report Template To register a report template, go to Administration BIP Reports -> Reports Template Registration View. Add a new records and fill the details like Report Name, Description, Primary IO Name, Select Template and XLIFF files. Perform one of the following In Connected Mode, Click Upload Files. The RTF and XLIFF files are uploaded to BIP server.

Step 5: Associate View to Report To associate a report to a view, go to Administration BIP Reports -> View Association view. Add a report to the view. The report will be available in the reports menu drop down list of the associated view.

From the Reports Menu drop-down list, user can select a report from one of the following: BIP Section My BI Publisher Reports When the user selects a report from BIP Section, a pop up applet appears in which user can select the output format for the report. Report generation takes place after clicking on submit button. The submitted reports can also be viewed from My Reports View, where it shows the status for each report. When the user selects My BI Publisher Reports, then My Reports view appears. In this view user can monitor the status of submitted reports.

Hi Sekar, what if we need to automated those Reports through eScript, Workflow or RunTime, is that possible too?

Hi, Yes. Its possible to automate the BIP report generation through workflow or scripting by using the Reports Business Service where the reports will be executed on the BI publisher server and the output will be saved in My BIP reports view where you can view it when you need it. -- Sekar :)
