Spongebob Squarepants is a talking square sponge "who lives in a pineapple under the sea.

" His relentless cheerfulness gets on the nerves of his grumpy neighbor, Squidward Tentacles. Spongebob works as a frycook at the Crusty Crab, owned by the kind-hearted but greedy Mr. Crabs. Spongebob's other pals are Gary, SB's pet snail, Patrick Star, a simple-minded starfish, and Sandy Cheeks, a space-suit wearing Texan squirrel. Written by Mike Konczewski

This show takes place under the sea, in a little town of Bikini Bottom. Many sea creatures live there. None of them however are as loveable as Spongebob Squarepants. He lives in a Pinappele with his pet snail Gary. He lives next door to Squidward Tenticles, a boring and stuffy squid that hates Spongebob. He Also lives near his best friend Patrick Star, a little dumb starfish who really loves ice cream. He goes to work at the Krusty Krab, a local restaurant runned by the greedy Mr. Eugene Krabs. Some of other Spongebobs friends include Sandy, a squirrel who lives in an underwater air dome, there is Pearl, Mr. Krabs's teenage and bratty daughter, Larry and SCooter, who are two local beach bums. There is also Mrs. Puff who teaches Spongebob how to drive. Oh, and I shouldn't leave out Plankton, an evil organism whos restaurant is the most unpopular in the sea. Written by Keith

STORY

My Favorite Spongebob Squarepants Episode When Spongebob and Bikini Bottom first appeared on TV, I didn't notice. I had friends who recomended it for my children, but they were too little to watch, and I wasn't that interested.

Then, I attempted to watch the show a few times. I can't remember which episodes they were, but I think they were heavy on the Plankton. I didn't enjoy them enough to keep watching.....

and then, I had the pleasure of watching " Bubblestand "

This episode originally aired on July 17, 1999 Season One.

I find this episode a great example of what makes Spongebob so special. He sets up a bubblestand in his front yard, selling bubble blowing lessons for 25 cents.

His friend Patrick Star (a starfish) comes up, and wants a lesson, but he doesn't have any money. He asks SpongeBob for a loan, and SpongeBob hands over the money. Patrick then give SpongeBob back the money to pay for the lesson.

- - So, here you see how much SpongeBob just wants to teach and share his "Technique" because he isn't making any money from Patrick.

- - We also see how his friend Patrick is willing to trust in SpongeBob, participating without questioning the experience.

SpongeBob performs his over-the-top "technique" for Patrick, and then later, for the grumpy neighbor Sqwuidward Tentacles, ( a Squid ), when he decides to also take a lesson.

The bubble blowing "technique" is a ridiculous series of spins, head turns, foot stomping, etc. that wouldn't help anyone to blow a bubble, but, amazingly, works every time for SpongeBob. The happy sponge blows wonderful large artistic bubbles.

The Squid is , of course, an unbeliever, and refuses to use the technique that he paid for (many times, with multiple 25 cent lessons) His bubbles are pathetic.

- - Here we see the lesson of believing in yourself and others.

Finally, Squidward uses the technique and blows a huge bubble... but, like many SpongeBob episodes, his ending isn't as happy.....accordingly, considering his sour personality.

A narrator with a French accent introduces SpongeBob SquarePants, a sponge who lives in a pineapple in the city of Bikini Bottom. SpongeBobs foghorn alarm clock rings, waking him up in the morning. He tells his young pet, Gary the Snail that he must be in good shape because this particular day is very important. He jumps off of his diving board and lands in his pants. He goes to his exercise room and lifts a bar-weight (which is actually two stuffed animals). Afterwards, SpongeBob exclaims that he is ready. He runs outside and down the street to the Krusty Krab, repeatedly saying, Im ready while his neighbor and best friend, Patrick Star, cheers him on. SpongeBob sees the Help Wanted sign on the Krusty Krab window. He then declares that he is ready to obtain the job, which he has been dreaming of for years; however, he loses his confidence. Patrick convinces him to apply for the job, and so SpongeBob does, thereby declaring he is ready three more times. Squidward Tentacles, the head cashier, is cleaning the window (above his head the word loser is written on the glass pane). Squidward sees that SpongeBob wants the job, and so he tells the restaurant owner Eugene H. Krabs that SpongeBob does not qualify for the job. SpongeBob walks into the Krusty Krab and asks for the job. To get rid of him, Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob that he can join the Krusty Krew if he passes a test--which is to obtain a Hydro-dynamic Spatula with Port and Starboard Attachments and TurboDrive. As soon as SpongeBob leaves, six buses drop off a large crowd of hungry anchovies. They barge into the Krusty Krab, demanding Krabby Patties. Attempting to keep things in order, Squidward complains about their behavior, and then requests that there be a single-file line in front of the cash register. But the anchovies vehemently protest, forming a riot of angry anchovies set to resemble a stormy sea. This forces Squidward and Mr. Krabs to climb up the mast. Thinking that it is the end for them, they say their goodbyes. Suddenly, SpongeBob arrives, flying by with his Hydrodynamic Spatula with Port and Starboard Attachments and Turbo-Drive (according to SpongeBob, the Bargn Mart only had one in stock). Mr. Krabs is flabbergasted at the fact that SpongeBob actually passed the test. SpongeBob flies into the kitchen and as fast as he can, satisfies the needs of the angry anchovies. SpongeBob made a Krabby Patty before he was hired

and it is assumed that he did not know the Krabby Patty secret formula. When the last anchovy gets their Krabby Patty, Mr. Krabs is delighted. He hires SpongeBob, by welcoming him to the Krusty Krew and giving him a name tag. Then, Mr. Krabs calls for three cheers for SpongeBob. Even though Squidward is upset, Mr. Krabs does not listen to him because he wants to go and count the wheelbarrow of money he just made in his office. At the end, Patrick walks in and asks for a Krabby Patty. SpongeBob flies into the kitchen and makes a huge stream of Krabby Patties, which then hits Patrick and sends him flying out of the restaurant. Worried, Squidward calls Mr. Krabs to come see his new employee.
