November 5, 1977 BENDIX FUEL CONTROL, RATIO LEVER ASSEMBLY-REPLACE PLANNING INFORMATION: EFFECTIVITY: All Model 250-C18, C20/C20B, B15G, and B17/B17B Bendix Fuel Control Assemblies. Series I and II Bendix fuel controls incorporate two ratio lever assemblies. Each has a spheriical ball of carboloy 44-A brazed on one end. The ball end of one lever engages the governor and acceleration bellows assembly and the other engages the metering valve assembly. Wear of the ball ends causes the control schedule to shift lean. The wear rate of the ratio lever ends is reduced by changing the ends from a spherical surface ball to a barrel-shaped ball. The barrel-shaped end, also fabricated from carboloy 44-A, provides a greater contact surface area. Not affected 1. 250-B15G, B17, and B17B. It is recommended that this bulletin be completed no :later than next overhaul. 250-C18, C20 and C20B. It is recommended that this bulletin be accomplished on a use stock basis when (a) the ratio lever assembly fails to pass overhaul inspection and (b) the spare stock of superseded lever assemblie is exhausted.

Replace two P/N 2526113 Ratio Lever Assemblies (Figure 1) with new P/N 2538281 (barrel-shaped end) Ratio Lever Assemblies. Record compliance with 250-B15G TP CEB-49 or B17/B17B TP CEB-1080 in the Engine Assembly (white p,ages) Modification Record, Part HI of the Engine Log Book. on a use
