1. Tell me a little about yourself. My name is Gerardo Stark, Im 22 years old, I am a current college student at ITT Technical Institute since 2011, my anticipated date from graduation will be on June of 2013, I have previously worked in the industry of technology. In 2010 I worked as I sales agent in T-Mobile Preferable dealer as a sale agent, my commitments was to close plans preferable with contracts, or as an alternative close plans without contract. Also I was encouraged to let my customers comfortable about the money they spend with the acquisition of every phone device they bought, as well as the advantages of them.

2. What do you see as your strengths? Weakness? What are you doing to improve the areas that you feel need improvement? As my strength, I consider myself very tolerant with my customers, hard worker, responsible, a faster solution solver, and the most important is that I always be accomplish all the assets that my company its expecting from me. My Weakness, as we are not perfect, sometimes I became very anxious about specific situation that I cannot handle the way I wish. Im a very analytical person, so every time I finish any task, at the end I analyze it, to see what I can improve, because theres always something to improve.

3. What attracted this position? Why are you interested in Working for Cisco? First of all I love to help, Life is about helping each other, then as Im majoring on the Information Technology industry, I have the ability to resolve and support all the kind of issues that the company required for this position. Im very good working without supervision, because I feel more comfortable working on my way. I am a good Diagnostician to identify issues located on any of the operating system in which the company its requiring. Being a member of a privileged company as Cisco, its something that you as professional you always wish to accomplish. 4. Please Describe your Ideal job; work environment; day at work My ideal work would be working for a prestigious company like Microsoft, working behind the scene, and have a great work partners for me to be able to count with them, One day at work I can describe finish all my assets for my company and let them being satisfy with my job.

5. Tell me about the most difficult IT problem you ever faced and how you handled it. In retrospect, would you handle it the same way now? One time I was required to accomplish a very difficult assignment on Linux, I was very struggling, even though that the teacher gave me all the tools, so I went home spend about 5 hours typing commands one by one very patiently until they ping so when I went over to the project I realized that had finish. Something I learned during the past 2 years is that you must never give up, theres always a path to achieve your goals, so in this case when I looked that entire huge project, I went step by step, and repeated until I got comfortable that I was doing the right way.

6. How would you rate your ability to deal with conflict? Please give an example of a time when you have a conflict; how did you resolve it? From 1 to 10, I would rate myself with a 7. One day working at my previous company T-Mobile, one lady started to make complains about the service and other issues that she notice, and my Manager was at the store with me, actually she was the one who took care with her, but My manager was not the kind of person with a great mood, so she started to get mad, telling her please leave my store so I felt that me as an employee have to intervene, I calm my manager, and also with a proper way try to excuse our fault with the customers, so by the time she leaves, she leaves comfortable with my services, and also that was a good opportunity for me to show my manager, that I cant handle difficult situation when they present.

7. What operating system do you prefer and why? The most operating system that I have experienced and working on was with Windows XP Professional, I used it for more than 9 years, I learned a lot about its exclusive applications and until Microsoft released Windows 7, I didnt want to hear anyone or even test any one. As I experienced Windows Vista, and I had a terrible experience, every single program or application that I used to work every day, wasnt compatible with Vista for any reason, even though, equipments like a printer device, I was not able to find the proper drivers not because I was a bad finder, because you didnt have any source to find the equivalent driver of Vista, so the only solution for that was to install back Windows XP 8. How familiar are you with designing a computer network using the TCP/IP protocol suite? Im not an expert, but I can figure out what is the best network topology to address for a Wired area Network, as TCP its commonly used for Wired area Network, I would look to

provide a great connectivity, the Token Ring topology is the one I am more familiar, to implement the corresponding Transmission Control Protocol, and the Internet Protocol which were the first networking protocols, but as every single router also needs a subnet mask, I will applied that to them in order to make the network more secure

9. Your Network is experiencing periods of slow response. And you are asked to find a solution. What troubleshoot techniques would you use? Hardware or software solutions are okay; a budget is not an issue. Depending on how frequent are those periods of slow response, if it happens very frequently I will first troubleshoot the specific router, to see if its responding, and if I dont see any improvement I will restore the network, I believe that for a networking issues the best way to fix a network is via Hardware, because with Software you can try ways, testing command, but its capacity its very limited, and via hardware you can put your hand on it, and have a deeper view.

10. On a scale of 1-10 where would you rate your Cisco Skills? Are you certified? On a scale of 1-10 I would rate myself with a 4. I just know the basic stuff from that Cisco, and Im not certified.

11. Explain your abilities to install configure and maintain Microsoft Windows-supported operating system. Here Is where I have the best skill on IT, Im very good making completes installation from any Microsoft Operating System, and by these I mean not to do the ones that they show on the screen that its call Custom Installation I know to install a compact installation and configure it depending on the necessities of the person. For maintaining I know how to troubleshoot the Operating System if it doesnt seem to work well, also do the proper backups depending on what appears to be corrupted, and make effective weekly scanning to maintain the server to work properly.

12. What is the management style that you most prefer from a supervisor? The first thing I would look through its their personality, and then I will determine how to proceed and act towards him or her. The style that I really prefer and also appreciate from any supervisor, first its how they treat you as an employee, the way the instruct you, and how clear are

them towards you, I also expect that the working environment its enough for me to feel myself comfortable on where Im standing.

13. What aspect of you last position gave you the most satisfaction? My last position was as a sales agent from T-Mobile. I find myself that I can be a great seller If Im happy with the job, also that I have a strong capacity to solve issues and let the customers comfortable when they leave the store.
