Literature review is the first part to understand the whole project better. I did numerous read up of Database Inference Engine. Do you have anything to prepare for your next session? Yes/No? If yes, write down what you need to do. If no, state why not. Yes. I have to prepare my members profile write up on my strength and weakness. I have to develop the development plan based on RUP stages to add on to our proposal.

Name: Ang Wencan Stephen Date: 15 December 2012 Did you do any work? Yes/No? If yes, what did you do? Yes. I did the initial draft for our Project Meta-Data dictionary database design. Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If yes, write down what they were. Yes, we need to be clear of how we want to create our program as there are various ways to provide inference protection. Which result in different formats of the Meta-Data. Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong? Yes. Though there were various formats to create the Meta-Data, our group spent time discussing amongst ourselves and consult our group supervisor. And came out with a draft of the Meta-Data dictionary. I would have to figure out how to create the tables from the meta-data dictionary in SQLite Manager. I need to understand how to write sql statements and inheriting of attributes from parent table to child table.

Name: Ang Wen Can Stephen Date: 20 December 2012 Did you do any work? Yes/No? If yes, what did you do? Yes. I was in charge of creating the application database for our project. Application database will be developed through SQL manager (SQLITE). Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If yes, write down what they were. Yes. Base on the Meta-Data Dictionary, the tables of DB-Wrapper had to be implemented. There were issues regarding the foreign key of tables while inheriting from the parent table. Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong? Yes. Though there were hiccups along the way, the database for our application was implemented on time. No. I would have to wait for the Programmers to link the database with QTCreator before they could tell me if the application database needs to be changed.

I did research on templates for System Test Plan and created a few application databases for my group. Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If yes, write down what they were. Yes. There are various templates for System Test Plan, each with different content. It was difficult to decide on which template is suitable for our project. Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong? Yes. Though there were various templates. Discussion with another Test Engineer, Joel Goh. We are able to come out with the System Test Plan while referencing the various templates. Do you have anything to prepare for your next session? Yes/No? If yes, write down what you need to do. If no, state why not. Yes. We would need to figure out what are the other possible test cases to test once the coding is done.

I re-edited the database design in accordance to what the implementer want. Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If yes, write down what they were. No. Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong? Yes. Downloading of QT creator is easy but the installation time is very long. Do you have anything to prepare for your next session? Yes/No? If yes, write down what you need to do. If no, state why not. I will learn how to use QT creator with the applications. Template of test plan must be prepred.

Together with Joel, we compile our work together and discuss with the implementers for further improvements. Did you come up against any problems with the work you were doing? Yes/No? If yes, write down what they were. Need not to be tested test cases for our test plan are difficult to think of. Did everything go according to plan? If not, what went wrong? Yes. Preparation for submission on 19 January deliverables for this System Test Plan.

Name: Ang Wen Can Stephen Date: 30 February 2013 Did you do any work? Yes/No? If yes, what did you do? Yes. I did the video- filming with my team mates for the whole program flow. I also did the screenshots for the user manual. I researched and suggested on various software to be used for video-filming. I am able to complete system testing and integration testing before the deadline that the group leader set for me. For the system testing, I created an application database and made sure that the program is able to interact with it perfectly. For example, report is able to be generated and meta-data is able to be read in. Errors found during testing were highlighted to the implementers. I helped to do the screenshot for user manual.
