Media Assistant, Interactive New York, NY Non Exempt

Reports To: Manager, Interactive Type/Hours: Full Time / 40 hrs per week

The Interactive Media Assistant will report the Interactive Media Manager, and will assist to create media plans for a variety of objectives and accounts. The Media Assistant is responsible for following up on the execution of assigned interactive media programs and gathering POP, while maintaining sound relationships with vendors and gathering information and vendor invoices and contracts. The ultimate goal is to become knowledgeable of the key players and components within the interactive field, including display, mobile, video and third-party ad serving. They must work well within a team environment and showcase leadership skills and become advocates of interactive media.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities: Interactive Campaign Placement + Management


o o o o o o o Establish negotiated profit margin based upon frequency and other required criteria for potential and approved interactive campaigns. Follow up with interactive vendors to confirm that client programs are running properly Prepare vendor insertion orders, invoices and POPs on assigned interactive orders Build rapport and maintain relationships with interactive vendors Resolve placement issues such as incorrect creative, missed placement/flight dates Maintain efficient and extensive filing systems for easy retrieval of information electronically as well as hard files. Work toward building skills in writing objectives, strategies & tactics for interactive proposals. Compile information regarding media pricing and availability for clients Work closely with the sales department to understand client needs to insure accurate placement. Understand re:fuel media groups rate structures used for proposals. Reach out to potential vendors for interactive advertising opportunities Research new interactive offerings as well as update existing interactive pricing and offerings Work towards building a solid understanding of various interactive networks and websites in the market place Gather and input interactive client invoices Addresses all encountered issues throughout the cycle assigned media buys, including independently handling vendor issues, discrepancies, and campaign reconciliation. Compile vendor invoices and necessary reports in order for vendors to be paid in a timely manner

Generate and collect interactive post campaign reports and ensure they align with the order Filing, faxing, email, general office duties. Other job related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution preferred in Marketing or relevant job experience 1 to 2 years of office work experience preferred in related field. Past work experience in advertising/media is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills: Excellent communication skills, including pleasant, clear and concise phone manner. Experience contacting organizations over the telephone to gain information; resourcefulness and persistence to obtain information when it is not easily available is preferred Internet proficient and capable of learning proprietary databases Ability to work independently and efficiently Demonstrated team player, with strong collaboration and conflict resolution skills Outstanding time management and organizational skills including good follow through. Ability to establish rapport and relationships with individuals at all levels internally and externally Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in fast paced, project oriented, team environment. Ability to prioritize while on a deadline. Ability to be a self-starter, be attentive to details, and work independently Ability to reason n clearly and handle problem resolution professionally. Ability to interface with co-workers and support department objectives. Ability to negotiate effectively Strong computer software skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and E-mail. Strong typing skills. Familiarity with standard office equipment - fax, copier, and printer. Strong grammar skills.

Physical Requirements: Frequent computer terminal/keyboard use Sit, bend, and squat as needed Reach above shoulder level Ability to lift 30 lbs.
