In the name of ALLAH, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ismail (peace be upon him) in The Quran

And (remember) when We made the House (the Kabah at Makkah) a place of resort for
mankind and a place of safety. And take you (people) the Maqam (place) of Ibrahim
(Abraham) as a place of prayer, and We commanded Ibrahim (Abraham) and Ismail
(Ishmael) that they should purify My House (the Kabah at Makkah) for those who are
circumambulating it, or staying (Itikaf), or bowing or prostrating themselves. [002:125]

And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said, “My Lord, make this city (Makkah) a place
of security and provide its people with fruits, such of them as believe in Allah and the Last
Day.” He (Allah) answered: “As for him who disbelieves, I shall leave him in contentment for
a while, then I shall compel him to the torment of the Fire, and worst indeed is that
destination!” [002:126]

And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) and Ismail (Ishmael) were raising the
foundations of the House (the Kabah at Makkah), (saying), “Our Lord! Accept (this service)
from us. Verily! You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.” [002:127]

“Our Lord! And make us submissive unto You and of our offspring a nation submissive unto
You, and show us our Manasik (all the ceremonies of pilgrimage - Hajj and Umrah, etc.), and
accept our repentance. Truly, You are the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.
[002:128]

“Our Lord! Send amongst them a Messenger of their own, who shall recite unto them Your
Verses and instruct them in the Book (Quran) and Al-Hikmah (wisdom) and sanctify them.
Verily! You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.” [002:129]

And this (submission to Allah, Islam) was enjoined by Ibrahim (Abraham) upon his sons and
by Yaqoob (Jacob), (saying), “O my sons! Allah has chosen for you the (true) religion, then
die not except in the Faith of Islam.” [002:132]

Or were you witnesses when death approached Yaqoob (Jacob)? When he said unto his
sons, “What will you worship after me?” They said, “We shall worship your Ilah (God) - the
Ilah (God) of your fathers, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ismail (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), One Ilah
(God), and to Him we submit (in Islam).” [002:133]

That was a nation who has passed away. They shall receive the reward of what they earned
and you of what you earn. And you will not be asked of what they used to do. [002:134]

And they say, “Be Jews or Christians, then you will be guided.” Say, “Nay, (We follow) only
the religion of Ibrahim (Abraham), Hanifa, and he was not of Al-Mushrikoon (polytheists).”
[002:135]

Say, “We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been
sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Ismail (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Yaqoob (Jacob), and to
Al-Asbat (the twelve sons of Yaqoob (Jacob)), and that which has been given to Moosa

I bear witness that there is no God except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His
servant and messenger

(Moses) and Iesa (Jesus), and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We
make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam).”
[002:136]

So if they believe in the like of that which you believe, then they are rightly guided, but if
they turn away, then they are only in opposition. So Allah will suffice you against them. And
He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. [002:137]

(Our Sibghah (religion) is) the Sibghah (Religion) of Allah (Islam) and which Sibghah
(religion) can be better than Allahs? And we are His worshippers. [002:138]

Say, “Dispute you with us about Allah while He is our Lord and your Lord? And we are to be
rewarded for our deeds and you for your deeds. And we are sincere to Him in worship and
obedience”. [002:139]

Or say you that Ibrahim (Abraham), Ismail (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Yaqoob (Jacob) and
Al-Asbat (the twelve sons of Yaqoob (Jacob)) were Jews or Christians? Say, “Do you know
better or does Allah? And who is more unjust than he who conceals the testimony he has
from Allah? And Allah is not unaware of what you do.” [002:140]

That was a nation who has passed away. They shall receive the reward of what they
earned, and you of what you earn. And you will not be asked of what they used to do.
[002:141]

Do they seek other than the religion of Allah, while to Him submitted all creatures in the
heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned.
[003:083]

Say, “We believe in Allah and in what has been sent down to us, and what was sent down
to Ibrahim (Abraham), Ismail (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Yaqoob (Jacob) and Al-Asbat (the
twelve sons of Yaqoob (Jacob)) and what was given to Moosa (Moses), Iesa (Jesus) and the
Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between one another among them and to
Him (Allah) we have submitted (in Islam).” [003:084]

And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the
Hereafter he will be one of the losers. [003:085]

Verily, We have inspired you (O Muhammad SAW) as We inspired Nooh (Noah) and the
Prophets after him; We inspired Ibrahim (Abraham), Ismail (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac),
Yaqoob (Jacob), and AlAsbat (the twelve sons of Yaqoob (Jacob)), Iesa (Jesus), Ayub (Job),
Yoonus (Jonah), Haroon (Aaron), and Sulaiman (Solomon), and to Dawood (David) We gave
the Zaboor (Psalms). [004:163]

And Ismail (Ishmael) and Al-Yasa (Elisha), and Yoonus (Jonah) and Lout (Lot), and each one
of them We preferred above the Alameen (mankind and jinns). [006:086]

I bear witness that there is no God except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His

And mention in the Book (the Quran) Ismail (Ishmael). Verily! He was true to what he
promised, and he was a Messenger, (and) a Prophet.[019:054]

And he used to enjoin on his family and his people As-Salat (the prayers) and the Zakat,
and his Lord was pleased with him. [019:055]

And (remember) Ismaeel (Ishmael), and Idris (Enoch) and Dhul-Kifl, all were from among
As-Sabirin (the patient ones). [021:085]

And We admitted them to Our Mercy. Verily, they were of the righteous. [021:086]

And he said: “Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!” [037:099]

“My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous.” [037:100]

So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. [037:101]

And, when he (Ismail (Ishmael)) was old enough to walk with him, he said: “O my son! I
have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. so look what you think!” He said: “O my
father! Do that which you are commanded, if Allah wills, you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the
patient ones).” [037:102]

Then, when they had both submitted themselves, and he had laid him prostrate on his
forehead [037:103]

And We called out to him: “O Ibrahim (Abraham)! [037:104]

You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!” Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinoon (good-
doers). [037:105]

And remember Ismail (Ishmael), AlYasaa (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the
best. [038:038]
