Findings

Job satisfaction is a motivator if and only if hygienic factors are very well considered such as salary, job stress, job security and career development. Job enrichment is an indicator of job enlargement and provides a clear picture of the assignment entrusted to an employee. Job empowerment helps one to identify factors like decision making, authority and flexilibity of the concern employee. Here are some reasons L&T employees have more job satisfaction1) Working Environment: They have good infrastructure. Also employees found healthy environment to work and have low level of office politics. 2) Job Stress: Proper division of work and flexible working hours. 3) Job Security: Employees feel that their job is secure because of some steps taken by organization. Also even in recession, the company kept its employees job safe. 4) Strategies and policies of organization: The organization has many policies such as free transportation, free meal, leaves for birthday, anniversary etc. for its employees. 5) Salary: Organization rewards its employees properly. It also offers early joining bonus and bond incentives. 6) Family-Work balance: Organization has proper division of work and flexible working hours. 7) Career development opportunity- Organization always encourages skill enhancement, motivate employees for advance certifications.

Here are some reasons why Infosys is a better organization in job empowerment1) Flexibility: Infosys provides a wider range of flexibility program as they have larger working station and timings . 2) Decision making: in Infosys the decision making is decentralized in the hands of the employee which provides a better workplace for them. 3) Authority: in Infosys the authority is a platform provider unlike L&T where it is a content provider.
