Entrance Examination for admission to Engineering Courses, Kerala 2012 Score Published
The marks secured by candidates in the Entrance Examination for admission to the Engineering Courses, Kerala 2012, are published herewith. The marks secured have been prepared on the basis of the Entrance Examination conducted on 23rd (Physics & Chemistry) and 24th (Mathematics) April 2012 and are published in the order of the roll number. The marks of 207 candidates have been withheld (WHELD) for various reasons. Candidates who have not appeared for both the Papers in the Engineering Entrance Examination and those who have secured less than 10 marks (with exception of SC/ST candidates) in each paper of the examination have been Disqualified (DQLFD). The marks will be published through media. It will be available at the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and on the web-sites, www.cee.kerala.gov.in http://keralaresults.nic.in http://results.kerala.nic.in The Answer Keys to the questions were published on 26.04.2012. A few complaints regarding the questions / keys have been received and the same have been examined by Expert Committees constituted for the purpose. Based on the recommendations of the Committees, the following modifications have been made in the answer keys published on 26.04.2012. Accordingly, in Paper I (Physics & Chemistry), two (2) question from Physics part has been deleted. Hence this question has not been included in the valuation and no marks have been awarded for this deleted question to any candidate.

Valuation has been based on 70 questions in Physics and 48 questions in Chemistry. The marks obtained in Physics part of Paper I have been multiplied by (72/71), corrected to four decimal places and is added to the marks obtained for Chemistry in Paper I. Similarly, one (1) question has been deleted from valuation in Paper II (Mathematics). The marks obtained for 119 questions have been multiplied by (120/119) to determine the marks of Paper II (Mathematics), corrected to four decimal places. The above formula is applied to award proportionate marks based on the score of the candidate for the questions considered for evaluation (excluding deleted questions) and to compensate the loss of marks for the deleted questions. Valuation of the OMR answer scripts is computerized and is error-free. There is no provision for revaluation of answer scripts or re-checking of marks in this system of evaluation.

The results of candidates claiming SC/ST benefits, but whose community claims have not been cleared by the Screening Committee, have been withheld. The inclusion of Roll No. of any candidate in this list does not entitle him/her for admission unless he/she satisfies all the conditions of eligibility as prescribed in the Prospectus. Those candidates who have qualified in the Engineering Entrance Examination will have to submit the marks obtained by them in the qualifying examination (Plus Two or equivalent) for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology in order to prepare the Engineering rank list 2012. Detailed notification for submission of marks of the qualifying examination will be issued separately. The Engineering rank list will be prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination (Paper I and Paper II put together), and the grade/marks obtained for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology put together in the qualifying examination, after effecting the normalization procedure as described in Clause 9.7.4 (b)(ii). The marks as given in the marks list of the final year of the qualifying examination (Plus Two or equivalent) only will be considered for preparation of Engineering Rank list. The Category/Community-wise list will also be published in due course after publishing the Engineering rank list. Complaints regarding the Category List should reach the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations within 7 days after the publication of the Category list. Candidates will be admitted to the courses only if the academic eligibility conditions as prescribed in the Prospectus are fulfilled at the time of admission. This will be verified at the time of admission by the college authorities as specified in clause 11.7.2 of the Prospectus. Separate Notification for Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) for allotment to various courses and colleges will be issued in due course.
