Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, 17 October 1973, Kansas Cityi, USA, is

an American

pop rapper, record producer, songwriter and actor. Eminem is one of the best-selling artists in the world and is the best selling artist of the 2000s. He has released seven studio albums, four compilations, six extended plays (two solo, one as Bad Meets Evil and three with Soul Intent), thirty-one singles, five video albums and one soundtrack. He has been listed and ranked as one of the greatest artists of all time by many magazines including the Rolling Stone magazine which has ranked him 82nd on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. The same magazine has declared him The King of Hip Hop.

Eminem has sold over 41 million albums in the United States as a solo artist. His worldwide albums sales stand at 86 million. He has earned forty-two platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America(RIAA). Eminem won 13 Grammys in his career and has been ranked number nine on MTV's list of The Greatest MCs of All Time.

Eminem has opened other ventures since the beginning of his success. He founded his own record label, Shady Records. He also has his own radio channel, Shade 45. Eminem began an acting career in 2002, when he starred in the hip hop drama film 8 Mile in which he won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, becoming the first rap artist ever to win the award.

Infinite

Infinite is Eminem's first full-length and professionally packaged album. The album was written and recorded in 1995. At the time the album was first conceived, Eminem had been using the stage name M&M. However, he changed his stage name after the release of his first official single, in early 1995. Infinite marks the debut of the name "Eminem". Infinite is relatively inoffensive compared to the subsequent albums that would make Eminem famous.

Obviously, I was young and influenced by other artists, and I got a lot of feedback saying that I sounded like Nas and AZ. Infinite was me trying to figure out how I wanted my rap style to be, how I wanted to sound on the mic and present myself. It was a growing stage. I felt like Infinite was like a demo that just got pressed up.[6][7][8]

Subjects covered in Infinite include love and his struggles with raising his newborn daughter Hailie on limited funds.

II. The Slim Shady LP

is the second studio album by American rapper Eminem. It was released on February 23, 1999 ( under Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment, and Web Records. Recorded in Ferndale, Michigan following Eminem's discovery by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, the album features production from Dr. Dre, theBass Brothers, and Eminem himself. ) The lyrical content, written from the perspective of the rapper's alter ego Slim Shady, is noted for its over-the-top depictions of violence and heavy use of profanity.

III. The Marshall Mathers LP

Is the third studio album by American rapper Eminem. Released on May 23, 2000.

Much of the album is spent addressing his rise to fame and attacking those who criticized his previous album. Other themes include his relationship with his family, most notably his mother and Kim Mathers, his former wife.

IV. The Eminem Show

Is the fourth studio album by American rapper Eminem, released in 2002. It was the best-selling album of 2002 in the United States. At the Grammy Awards of 2003 it was nominated for Album of the Year and became Eminem's third LP in four years to win the award for Best Rap Album.

He felt that The Eminem Show was his "best record so far".[10] The Eminem Show was Eminem's first album to be mainly self-produced.

V. Encore

Is the fifth studio album by American rapper Eminem, released In 2004. This album touches a variety of subjects, including his relationship with his ex-wife, Kim, ("Puke", "Love You More", and "Crazy In Love"), his daughter Hailie Jade Mathers ("Mockingbird"), some anti-Bush statements ("Mosh" and "We As Americans"). Also, he also mentions his childhood ("Yellow Brick Road"), and his relationships with his parents ("Evil Deeds"). "Just Lose It" is a parody of Michael Jackson's "Beat It", as well as a Pepsicommercial in 1984. Similar to Eminem's previous album, The Eminem Show, Encoreopens with a skit called "Curtains Up", indicative of the start of the show. VI. Relapse

Relapse is the sixth studio album by American rapper Eminem, released on May 15, 2009. Conceptually, Relapse concerns the ending of his drug rehabilitation, rapping after a non-fictional relapse, and the return of his Slim Shady alter-ego.

It produced three singles that attained chart success and has been certified double platinum by theRecording Industry Association of America. The album earned him two Grammy Awards

VII. Recovery Is the seventh studio album by American rapper Eminem, released on June 18, 2010. Rolling Stone placed Recovery and its single "Not Afraid" on its lists of Best Albums of 2010 and Best Singles of 2010.

He produced three singles that achieved chart success, including the Billboard hit "No Love" and international hits "Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie". Recovery received generally positive reviews from music critics, who complimented Eminem's rapping and performance on the album.
