Brief Introduction
I am Sahil Mehta, a B. Tech graduate from The Technological Institute of Textiles & Sciences, Bhiwani (Haryana). I graduated in 2009 and started my career with Alok Industries Limited, Vapi Gujarat as a management trainee in woven product development department and within a year a reward to my hard work and sincere efforts was given to me in the form of independent charge of knits product development department and was asked to report directly to the CEO. Then I got an opportunity to work in international environment with Must Garments Limited, Bangladesh/China, I was responsible for handling garment sampling for JC Penney and giving all approvals, was reporting to the country head of Must Garments Co. Ltd. Dhaka, Bangladesh. With relaxing visa issues for China I got a chance to move to the Textile hub China, where I was involved in quality assurance and sourcing of fabrics from nominated mills in China and also develop new vendors and evaluating them on various grounds. Further in early 2012 I got an opportunity to work with one of the biggest MNCs based in Singapore as a Marketing and Sourcing Executive; here I am responsible for developing new customers and vendors. Sourcing, Marketing for Europe, Africa, South America, Bangladesh, India markets Follow up with the customers and our regional sales offices on day-to-day enquiries Procuring raw materials from the right vendors & sourcing right quality at competitive prices Developing new vendors and products Proactively highlighting new fabric development to the customer & work closely with Design team to create the product concepts & interpret with vendors Deals in all kind of fabrics ranging from Twill, Poplin, Voile, Bedford, Canvas, Corduroy, Yarn dyed shirting, Polyester Satin, Taffeta, Minimatt, Chiffon, and many more in Wovens. Single jersey, Rib, Interlock, Polar Fleece, Coral Fleece, Micro Polar Fleece, Double Jersey, Ponte Roma, Scuba fabric in knits.

Must Garments Co. Limited Hong Kong (Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh)

Independently handling the garment sampling (chinos, Capries, shorts, skirts, trousers, jackets, denim wears) for JC Penney Responsible for all quality approvals, washing approvals Follow up with head office in Hong Kong for final fit pattern Member of quality assurance team for all orders of JC Penney

Deals in all kinds of woven and knits fabric product development Responsible for woven product development finishing department, monitoring the machine parameters for special finishes like Anti-microbial, flame retardant, Anti pilling, Water repellent finishes Responsible for handling all kinds of knits product developments, deals in cotton jersey, double knits jersey, pique, fleece, Rayon Jersey, bamboo jersey, Linen cotton jersey Carrying out all special finishes on basic knit fabrics like neutralizing finish on combed cotton single jersey, Nano-tex finish on cotton single jersey and many more finishes on basic items for buyers like Victoria Secret, Sainsbury, Target, Marks & Spencer etc.
