Sauer Group Compressor Sauer & Sohn has more than 70 years experience and know-how in the design of highpressure compressors: founded in 1884 in Kiel under the name of Wilhelm Poppe, the mechanical engineering company has been manufacturing a range of compressors initially developed in-house since 1930, the beginning of a considerable success story. A traditional location and a hub for ideas As the oldest location and headquarters of the Sauer Group, our parent company in Kiel-Friedrichsort has established itself as the heart of an international operating company. Around 130 employees work in the design, technology, assembly, quality inspection, sales and service departments of this medium-sized, single owner managed company. The Kiel plant is of vital importance to the Sauer Group as a centre for ideas. Qualified technicians and engineers work continuously on a programme for improvement, new developments and custom-built models, so that our customers can continue to rely on leading technology from Sauer for the future. Special voltages and frequencies, water-cooled, earthquake-resistant, explosion-proof or diesel-driven models, as well as weatherproof designs for external installation, are just some of the examples of the special compressor variants we manufacture. 2 - stage a i r - c o o l e d m e d i u m Robust compressors for any application The 2-stage air-cooled compressors helped establish Sauer reputation for high quality. We have been making them for over 75 years they are now in their third generation of development for, in particular, applications in the energy industry. With this robust and simple type of compressor, you get a machine that is specifically designed for continuous operation at up to 40 bar, and is certainly not an extension of a 10-bar low-pressure compressor.

3 - stage a i r - c o o l e d m e d i u m A tried-and-tested long-distance runner: tough, low-maintenance and proven worldwide To be able to meet customers demands for particularly low-maintenance compressors, Sauer, in conjunction with well-known partners successfully developed a series of 3-stage air-cooled compressors at the beginning of the 1970s. Through the division of compression into three stages, these designs demonstrate exceptional endurance even under very difficult operating conditions. We have delivered over 4,000 of these compressors to our customers all over the world for a wide range of applications you too can benefit from our experience.

3- and 4 - stage a i r - c o o l e d h i g h High-pressure compressors well above the industrial standard High-pressure compressors with pressures of up to 350 bar are a tradition at Sauer: you can still inspect our WP 3231 the first lightweight high-pressure compressor in the world in the Deutsche Museum in Munich. From this foundation and through a process of continuous innovation, we developed products whose reliability and cost-effectiveness are well-regarded in the market, and which are not beefed-up breathing-air compressors.
