ANNUAL ST. JOSEPH TABLE BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY Our annual St. Joseph Table this year will be held on Saturday, March 16th after the 5:00 pm Mass. As always, we will be offering a delicious meal of pasta with meatballs, salads, breads, and various side dishes. Dont cook dinner that night! Come and join us for a delicious home cooked meal. Our meatballs and sauce are homemade from old country family recipes, not from a jar. Fresh Italian bread, crisp salad and even desert. As always, in conjunction with St. Joseph Table we will have a Bake Sale with homemade items from our very talented St. Albert the Great bakers and junior high students. There is no set price make a free-will donation at the door. Be as generous as you can; all proceeds go to the St. Albert the Great St. Vincent DePaul Society to help the needy in our own community. Please consider donating one of your favorite dishes to the table to be enjoyed by all. All food items are welcome. It would be great to have some Polish and Mexican specialties too! Thank You!
PASSAGES The point of todays first reading is fulfillment. The forty-year trek of the Israelites is over; they now camp in the Promised Land and celebrate the Passover. The manna that has sustained them in the desert ends; from now on they will eat of the produce of the land. Our Eucharistthe manna of our journeywill end when we enter heaven. Paul, in the second reading, speaks of change. The old order has passed away: all is new. Reconciliation has been secured in Christ.

The message has to be proclaimed everywhere by the ambassadors for Christ. The beautiful parable of the prodigal son is given to us by Christ in answer to the criticism of the Pharisees, This man welcomes sinners and eats with them. Jesus tells the story not to illustrate some vague human ideal of being broadminded or tolerant. He wants us to identify the father with Goda God who reaches out across rules, regulations, and even common sense to embrace and to forgive. Copyright J. S. Paluch Co.

KNOW THE MASS, ONE WORD AT A TIME

Love

YEAR OF SUNDAY MASS / YEAR OF FAITH

Love is a great word, but unfortunately its often an empty word without much depth or meaning. That was not true for Saint Paul who had a powerful and life-transforming experi-ence of love: I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20). Every time Paul celebrated the Eucharist, he knew that love anew when he heard Jesuss great words: This is my body, which will be given up for you. In Sunday Mass we meet the living Jesus who loves us to the utmost in giving himself up for us. When we truly know and believe his self-sacrificing love made present and real in the Mass, we are forever changed. Nothing else can matter as much. In loving us, Jesus transforms our lives.

All parishioners are invited to the sale of T a m a l e s ($1.00 each) Holy Name Society meeting; Monday, March 11, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013 Guest Speaker: Township Supervisor - Mr. Lou Viverito all day beginning at 8:30 am in Rogers Hall
All proceeds will benefit St. Albert the Great Church. Thank You for your support.
