Sir/Madam, The students of Department of Electrical Engineering take pride in sharing the expected publication of our departmental magazine IMPULSE in August 2013. Sponsoring us will provide a great opportunity for you to advertise your products and services to other industries, organizations and intellectual cream of the city. The purpose of the magazine is to provide a literary platform for our students to hone their creative and literary skills. It is an excellent source of enriching students regarding the knowledge of recent developments in the field, to highlight the projects and other activities going on in the Electrical Department and importantly to remain in touch with the trends of the world in technology. Apart from the 850 enrolled students at the department, the magazine is also envisaged to be widely distributed among our Alumni and leading companies that have been housing our graduates. This is to achieve a stronger connection between academia and industry. IMPULSE 2013 The Electrical Engineering Department of NED University of Engineering & Technology plans to publish its departmental magazine IMPULSE 2013 in larger numbers. This year a total of 1600 copies are to be brought out. The targeted market of IMPULSE 2013 is going to be the 850 students, currently enrolled in the Electrical Engineering Department of the University. Besides students, the magazine will also be distributed among more than 100 faculty members. Moreover, the magazine reaches out to the Alumni who represent about the entire leading industry of Karachi. The magazine will also be available on the departments official website as an E-magazine. The magazine is distributed free of cost, and it is made certain that each and every reader gets hold of a copy. Furthermore, the magazine is made available at the Central Library of the university and all the other departmental libraries. In order to widen the horizons, this year Complimentary Copies of the magazine shall be distributed in the other departments of the university as well. THE LAUNCH CEREMONY Like 2012, IMPULSE 2013 plans to honor its noble sponsors and pay tribute to the untiring efforts of the Team Impulse 2013, by organizing a Launch Ceremony for the magazine. The launch ceremony is going to be first of its kind and will serve in publicizing the magazine to a completely new level. All our esteemed sponsors shall be invited to the event. A lot of notable alumni representing the foremost industries shall also be invited and that would add to an already rich corporate environment. THE FAIR In addition to the ceremony, IMPULSE 2013 plans to organize a fair to celebrate its launch. The fair will serve as an opportunity for the sponsors to publicize and/or sell their products and services. Only students of NED will be allowed to enter the fair and visit the stalls. The university has about 6,000 students enrolled currently excluding the faculty, which will serve as a foreground for our sponsors and for the promises we made them. The venue for the stall set up has been decided to be the central fountain area of the university. Situated just in front of the Main Auditorium, where the ceremony would take place, it is the most populated and a well exposed area in the university. The fair is planned to commence just after the launch ceremony and will continue till end of university timings. In addition, magazine distribution is set to be exercised around the fountain area, which will make sure the interaction of the students with the stalls of the sponsors.
