GULGBT Committee Meeting Agenda 8th of October Committee Room 3

In attendance: Lauren, Livvi, Steen, Jess, Hannah, Colvin, Becky. Apologies: Chris, Amy. Committee Business: 1. Scene tour Route: 7pm - committee here for 6.45pm. Starting in Committee Room 1, Strathclyde coming AXM, Polo, Milk - all there together. Trophy room, Delmonica's, Riding Room's - 45 minutes on each route. Committee split between two teams. Challenges: Photo challenge, photos of random thngs - points. Give prize out next week/week after. 2. Glasgay Uni - comedy gala 1. Tickets: Buy from Ticketweb, Edinburgh Uni are also coming 3. EGM (next meeting will be focused solely on EGM) Report which Lauren will type up, Campaigns events 1. Voting methods - Constitutional amendments - Temporary amendments - check if we need to give notice. Need a 2/3 majority vote to change voting method. A method of AV may allow for a majority - but this will be difficult to achieve. Two weeks in advance for amendment. Constitution closes today, so will look at it tomorrow. 4. Welfare Event (feedback from conference) Rape-crisis conference: Clare was there, giving information about upcoming campaign. Working with young people was useful - they had worked with LGBT youth? Could maybe steal ideas from this? Other workshop on men and rape? Ties in with Stathclyde police - "We can stop it" We were the only LGBT association there. Contact Claire for welfare event - but not lecture, has to be interactive. 7th of November - Welfare event can be moved to here. 6. 14th November - Lazerquest could be seriously considered, Stuart could also show his video - will provide nibbles and alcohol. Some kind of dance event - zumba? poledancing? Iceskating? 7. Celidh Becky, Chris and Hannah - Venue Hunting. - Tramway? Mitchell? Quote from last year - but if we do find one from somewhere else, let Lauren know. 8. Lunchtime drop in: Was good today. Lauren will bring cards next week. 9 M/W/T*/P-M Tabby -womens event was good.
