42nd National Safety Day.

Every year we celebrate 4th March as the National Safety Day of India and this is the 42 nd National Safety Day celebrations. The importance of the safety Day is to recall the need and importance of safety for all human beings and creating better awareness. In order to ensure the safety for all, we have to rededicate ourselves to explore our inherent talents to achieve the noble task of saving the Mankind. It is an auspicious day to draw our attention to create our mind set for giving utmost importance for the safety of the human being. It is so important for the people who are working in different industries, particularly in construction and infrastructure where maximum human potential is involved. The safety of them is so important because of their efforts country is progressing. As such the construction and infrastructure sector is the real industry that builds the Nation. Lot of human resource is working in this industry to build and change the countrys landscape. As part of IVRCL family we should feel proud to be a leader in building the Nation. It is the responsibility of every one of us to develop the systems for the well being of the employees and to create safe working conditions that prevent accidents. The accident rate is also quite considerable in construction industry because majority of the workers stay away from safety motivation. Their educational background is also one of the reasons for it. If we analyze the total accident scenario, 88% of the accidents occur due to unsafe acts i.e. human failures, 10% due to unsafe conditions and 2% due to natural havocs. The unsafe acts cannot be prevented fully but their effects can be eliminated by improving the safe working conditions. The need and importance of Integrated Management System arises which has to be accepted by all for better implementation. It creates beautiful systems and develops the safe working conditions, eliminates the effects of unsafe acts. It is the responsibility of every one of us who are working in the construction sector to develop the culture for adopting the I.M.S. to prevent accidents. It is the moral responsibility of every one of us to show our involvement, concern and commitment to prevent accidents and taking care of the safety of the human beings. On this auspicious day of 4th March, 42nd National Safety Day, let us take a pledge to develop the culture of safety to save the Mankind. It requires following the footsteps of Mother Theresa who dedicated her whole life to save the humanity. Life is the gift of God; Longevity is the gift of safety. Safety is a universal subject and the need is so important to us in each and every minute for our surveillance. On the eve of National Safety Day, everybody has to give lot of importance to safety to save our life particularly to the workers who are working in our site which is the real worshiping the God. As Service to the mankind is service to the God. So it is the right time to think on the subject and motivate all the personnel by celebrating the National Safety Day with high respect and importance as equal to our National Festivals.
