Mekelle University Ethiopian institute of technology-mekelle Mechanical engineering department Course name: Mechanism and Theory of Machineries course

code: Meng 305 Instructor: Tadesse G. Course Objectives Objective of the course is to develop understanding of basic principles of mechanisms as applied in Mechanical Engineering. Students should be able to discuss the principles and basic differences between analysis and synthesis of mechanisms, which are the building blocks of machines. At the end of this course the student should be adequately equipped to understand the basic theoretical principles of mechanisms as required by an engineer in the industry. Student Learning Outcome Understanding the basic principles of mechanisms. Understanding the different mechanisms. Enabling students to analyzing different simple mechanisms Course content 1.
