Step 1 Induction set (5 minutes)

1. Introduce the topic of refraction of light to the students. 2. When can we see refraction occur?

1. Teacher gives an explanation about the topic by using the examples. 2. Teacher tries to relate with some examples to the real life situation regard to the topic.

Step 2 Teaching progression (15 minutes)

1.giving explanation of - Refraction of light.

- Teacher tries to relate some examples that will relate to the topic. - Teacher draws ray diagram to show how refraction occur. - Shows refraction of light as it travels from air to glass and from glass to air. - remind student about refraction when light travelling along the normal from glass to air. - explain refractive index of a medium
