HOUSE CARING FELLOWSHIP FORSAKE NOT THE ASSEMBLY

TEXT: Hebrews 10:23 25, Psalm 122:1, MEMORY VERSE: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25 What is church? A church is a set of people who believe in Jesus Christ and His teaching and thereby putting all into practice, waiting for His second coming.. Many people today understand the church as a building where Christians gather to worship. The Biblical understanding of the church is defined as an assembly of calledout ones. If we are genuine Christians ready to follow the commandment of God we will not forsake the gathering of the fellow brethren and the weekly activities will never pose as problem unto us. The church consists of all those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one bodywhether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or freeand have all been made to drink into one Spirit.. So many people cook up different reasons why they could not gather together with other believers, and they usually conclude that belief is in the heart and not in coming together. This is a contradiction with the teaching of our Saviour. Some of the reasons why people find it very difficult to go to church are as follows. Pride, Over confidence, Misconception, Fault finder, Stinginess, Laziness, Sin among many others to mention but a few. Every Christian must take things of God as first on their priority list for other things to fall into place, for the bible says seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all others things shall follow Reasons why we should attend church services on a regular bases are as follows: 1. It is an act of obedience to God. 2. There is need to belong to a community of faith Acts 4:23. 3. Benefit from being taught and led in worship by others, rather than always depending on ourselves to read and study the bible is great. 4. Because we need regular reminders of our standing in Christ, help in acknowledging and confessing our sins, and teaching about God's truth In the presence of God, their is fullness of joy, let us come to the presence of God with thanksgiving. In iHis presence there is abundance of blessing. Fellowship with God in all the church activities and with one another.
