RUNNING SOLIDARIT ACTIVITIES Solidarit activities are run by trainees serving as Project Leaders/Project Teams and by Stage Sub-Committees.

Project Leaders organise activities and Sub-Committees link their existing activity to help achieve the Solidarit Mission. This is managed overall by the stagiaires serving as Solidarit Coordinators. As a Project Leader You may for example promote the soup kitchen activity or organise a group to join an NGO to teach computer skills to the marginalised? Or you might like to link with others to organise a tai chi session or party to promote the environment? Solidarit needs people to be Project Leaders and form Project Teams. You can get together with friends to make a Project Team together. See the list of Projects to see if you would like to be a leader for one of them. As a sub-committee leader You may for example invite refugees to language classes another subcommittee might write articles about social issues or hold a conference to promote peace? The theatre sub-committee might like to do a performance for the elderly? And those interested in sports might organise a creative activity linked to the marginalised? Just contact the Coordinators about connecting your activity with Solidarit. Find an activity connect it to a good cause, or vice versa.

Activities could involve working with Non Governmental Organisations and International Organisations. Activities require organisation, co-ordination, promotion, initiative and responsibility. Where necessary, the start and finish date of the Project or activity are established. Any financial aspects of Projects (e.g. budget, expenditures and fundraising) are organised in accordance with the Solidarit Cordinators. Projects operate in accordance with the Solidarit Projects, Activities, Promotion and Funding Criteria in the Solidarit Mission Statement Solidarit Projects are organised and promoted in cooperation with: the Solidarit Coordinators and within the spirit of the Solidarit Mission. Use Facebook etc to let everyone know about Solidarit Projects, it is used to organise involvement in Solidarit and its Projects.

There is a lot of talent on the Traineeship and you can create opportunities to get together to share yourself, your thoughts and ideas with others - meet new people, learn new things, acquire new skills and defend principles and incorporate positive social or humanitarian action in a natural way. Your project actions are about others. Your actions are about you. And they are about encouraging solidarity amongst people at the EU Institutions who come from all over the world.
