For a more detailed description, please use the "What's new!" link in the Active Library Explorer toolbar. - Displaying Search Hits as You Type - Library Search The "Library Instant Search" feature is introduced to display the search hits as the user types the pattern. The search hits are shown based on the search in title, identity and date of the libraries. - Displaying Search Hits as You Type - Document Search The "Instant Document Search" feature is introduced to display the search hits as the user types the pattern. The search hits are shown based on the search in document keyword, title and identity. Note: Document Instant Search works only for libraries created from February 2012 onwards. - Displaying Search Suggestions as You Type - Document Search This feature displays suggested words to search for, as the user types the pattern in the toolbar search field. The search suggestions are shown based on the actual words existing in the body text of documents in the library. - Folder Title Search - Document Search Searching inside a document library is now enhanced to also support searching for folder titles (in the same way as document titles). - Keyword Search - Document Search It is now possible to search for keywords attached to document and sections within document. On the search result page: * Keywords on document level are displayed before the document title. * Keywords on section level are displayed below the document title row. The following features are included in the customized context menu: * Bookmark this Document... Note: The web browser's own bookmark feature should not be used to create bookmarks to documents in ALEX libraries. * Open in New Window: Opens the link in a new browser window, complete with the ALEX toolbar and navigation frame. The following faults have been corrected: - TR correction HM47070 Compare functionality in ALEX was showing inaccurate results due to case sensitive logic being used to compare the document identities. This issue is now fixed. - TR correction HN77029 Combination of phrase and normal words in the search expression is not supported in the search functionality, but the user interface was not giving correct feedback to the user. This issue is now fixed and a proper warning message is provided. - TR correction HN45187 MIME definitions for new office documents (for example XLSX) are now included in ALEX. - TR correction Infow00003590 In the document search result page, the HTML icon was displayed for excel documents. This problem is fixed now. - TR correction HN36744

This fault concerned links in library collections. If a link to a document contains a title with a hyphen " - " with spaces on either side, the hyphen was being treated as the NOT operator in the document search, resulting in an inappropriate search result. This issue is now fixed.
